Congrats to everyone who have been successful.
Was doing at my friends who informed me that they had got paid out nearly £7k from RBOS.
Very happy from them, although they were not aware of the Tax they should pay when I informed them. I don't know the way of sourcing it, but they said they'll leave it to HMRC to find out about it.

Tell your friends they only pay tax on the 8% and the bank will have notified the inland revenue0 -
Hi this is my first post just to see if anyone agrees with me that i was mis-sold?
I took out 3 loans over the past 5years which are all paid off now with black horse which had PPI automatically added to them without me knowing? I went through the procedure of contacting them filling out questionaire and i got a letter back today saying i wasnt entitled to anything as i never opted out on loan agreement forms and should have checked before i signed forms and sent back? I was a bit younger then and unsure of terms&conditions and didnt realise and sent forms back to get my loan approved as was at the time desperate for the money as were in middle of moving house and ran short of money? I thought not being told was part of mis-sold as was automatically added to our loan?
Any ideas what to do next as i dont agree with their response? Anyone else agree, should i contact financial ombusman?0 -

Just thought if report on a PPI success with HSBC. I took a loan out in 2001 for £15000 payable over 5 years. I was told i could not take the loan wuthout PPI. I had shredded all of my paperwork a couple of years ago and thought I wouldn't have a chance at reclaiming but thought would follow the advice on the forum and asked the bank for copy of the t&c attached the loan. I requested this in an email, within 2 days the bank rang me asking if I was making a complaint and they took the information over the phone. Within 4 weeks they sent me a letter with an offer for £5400 inc 8% interest, was not expecting anything in this region! I accepted and the money was deposited in my account within the week. Amazing how quick and painless it was..all for the sake of an email. If you think you were misold I would really recommend making the complaint!!0

Hi,
I had a loan in 2005 with Halifax through GE Capital Bank, I have not got any of the details anymore, how would I gain these as not confident phoning regarding this and also worried as it was held in my maiden name as since married.
Also regarding PPI on mortgages, if you use a payment holiday for maternity on your mortgage is this classed as using your PPI?
Thanks in advance.0 -

Write back to them and tell them you disagree with the rejection and that these loans had front loaded ppi, this ppi is in effect a loan on top of the loan that you pay back over the whole term with interest, tell them you did not know this was the case and ask them to send you a copy of the terms that stated this was how this ppi worked, ask them to reconsider their decision or you will pass this to FOS to get another opinion.0 -
