THANKS Di for the wonderful advice once again, that's another cuppa I owe you!!! My concern is as Hubby's such a lovely man and so laid back he gets taken advantage of. My claim took all of the 8 weeks but it was done, he's been waiting the same length of time and nothing. Our MP is worse than useless, he had a vote of no confidence against him not that long ago and only stayed the MP by the skin of his teeth, no going there I'm afraid. Guess it will be done eventually, still I suppose if it does take another 8 weeks we are a week in to that already THANKS to your EXCELLENT advice.XXXXX
GOOD job this is FREE advice as I'd owe a fortune by now LOL.
Your very welcome honey :A:A
I have a hubby just like that.;)
Please keep us posted though, that would be cool, cheers.

The people I feel sorry for are the ones who are relying on their money to get them out of a financial hole. When we were living hand to mouth, every month seemed to throw up new problems that needed sorting BEFORE we could even think about our debts. It is different for us now but that's only THANKS to following this websites good advice, we were in a dreadful mess just a couple of years ago.
This is for the pension pot so he's got a few years to add to it, mind you knowing Lloyds it'll take em that long LOL.
How did you all get so knowledgable? Have any of you had experience in the banking field?0 -
Well you certainly give the most wonderful advice so you have repaid this site over and over again.

Aww thank you.:A
Yes I know exactly what you mean, without these sites then goodness knows where we would all be right now!
No experience in the banking field whatsoever, I just done my own research some years ago when I was being pressurised to take out PPI with a company and it went from there, all recorded so that helped us.;)
Being in this position myself, it annoys me rotten to know it's been the same case for millions of us, so being from one site to other free penalty sites I picked up from there.:) XxxThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Congrats to everyone who have been successful.
Was doing at my friends who informed me that they had got paid out nearly £7k from RBOS.
Very happy from them, although they were not aware of the Tax they should pay when I informed them. I don't know the way of sourcing it, but they said they'll leave it to HMRC to find out about it.

Hi all. Absolutely fantastic thread and very insightful if not a bit lengthy! Many congratulations to all those who have had success.
Anyway, my first post here and I would be extremely grateful for some advice.
I have registered a claim with Lloyds regarding 4 loans which I had with them all with PPI from 1993-1999. I managed to obtain all my account numbers as I am still with Lloyds and they managed to obtain them from their system. They could not advise me as to the loan amounts but confirmed that they were sold with insurance.
My first query relates to contacting Lloyds. I have seen that many complete the FOS questionnaire and send this off. When I contacted Lloyds via their PPI claim line they advised that I will not need to send anything into them as long as they have the account numbers. Is this correct? They also didn't really give me a great amount of time to elaborate as to why I felt that I had been miss old PPI and just put a few basic details into the system. I have since been thinking about whether this may affect my claim as I would have put a great amount more information on a questionnaire. I may just be hung up on this unnecessarily but it's just I don't want anything to effect any potential success! Am I worrying too much about this?!!
I have also been researching several previous loans/credit cards that I have had over the years however have very limited info. I had some loans with HFC/Hamilton Direct in the late 1990's into early 2000's. I have no details whatsoever of the loan amounts but if my memory serves me right that I may have been sold PPI. I have contacted HFC who state that I will have to write to them as they do not have details going back that far. How would be best to do this and will they confirm details of my previous loans? Has anyone here been in a similar situation?
Lastly (I know I'm going on) I have a few other previous credit cards (one being Egg which I know had PPI cover) - my general query is this - what is the best route to take to try and obtain information regarding historic accounts over 6 years old when you don't have many details (no paperwork)? I have read somewhere about a SAR but have no idea as to what this is.
Thanks in advance for any responses.0 -

Have you been in touch with them to inform them that you acted alone?
As soon as i emailed them to cancel they rang me and said that they had dealt with the claim and they wanted paying over the phone. I said i had dealt with it but they swore they had and became quite aggressive0
