  • What were you reclaiming: Three loans from LTSB dating back to 1990-2000
Who was the provider: Lloyds TSB
How much did you get back: £1200.00 , £1481.13, £223.61
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: One letter to LTSB In January 2012
And then write your brief reclaim tale
After finding an old box of paperwork , I located the three old account numbers , I am a bit of a hoarder so am pleased with my hoarding for once , had numersous loans over the years , one letter to LTSB in early January and three letter drop on my mat today with settlement figure's ,
Very Happy to say the least

Total success to date without the help of a claims company, amount to over £20,000.00 , one claim with the FOS re Barclaycard PPI , usual story from Barclays , you signed the form etc etc , but will wait and see .
I would like to thank this site as I used templates from here for all my claims
    Good luck to all xxxxxxxx:T
  • Hi all
just recieived offer of £7200 of the halifax for misold ppi
only took three weeks.rang there helpline said i thought
i had been misold ppi .left it in there hands .well chuffed
  • I reclaimed the PPI from my mortgage with Halifax Building Society. I used the template letter on this site and sent it to the address given. I was sent a letter from the Halifax saying they would deal with it within 8 weeks. I then received another letter in approx 1 month with an offer of £5800. I then received a cheque for this amount (PPI + interest). When I got my mortgage I was told I had to take out the PPI as part of the mortgage deal. I told them that I am paid if off sick etc but they said I had to have it. It was so easy to do using the guidance on this site. Thank you. :j

Hi. Following my call from Barclays PPI team last week i found out that the Barclayloan i took out (cleared last year) had £2500 of ppi added to the front of the loan. the loan was over 5 years. So far Barclays have been very helpful. lets see if it continues.!!

CAN ANYONE BEAT THIS FROM LTSB.
Sent off a letter of complaint in May 2011.
Claim upheld by letter in August 2011 with no final offer.
Received final offer in November 2011 with interest up to December 2011.
As of today and after numerous telephone calls, still no payment.
Thats what I call total taking the ****.

    Hi

Blimey, what on earth are they playing at!

Contact your local MP, give the details and ask to the bank on your behalf, it may help get it moving, I would be requesting for further compo for the distress and inconvenience they have caused as well.

    Good luck.

Morning one and all! Right here's an update on Hubby's Lloyds CC claim. Last week they found him again and this week they're investigating him!!! I can't make up my mind if this is a stalling tactic or they're genuine (cynic)! Do you think he'll have to wait the full 8 weeks again, or do you think they'll get on with it?

    Hi there

He shouldnt be waiting another 8 weeks.
Contact the CEO and or your local MP as I've also suggested on my above post if any problems, good luck.

I like the term "under investigation" in Hubby's case!!! What the heck does that mean?!!!!!

I assume another way of putting it, as they are investigating the complaint, (the credit card account), that's what I think anyway.:)

    Hi All
Rang the Halifax this morning to confirm I was accepting the offer on above and questioned the other claims that I had put in at the same time. A lovely lady confirmed that a final response letter had gone off at the same time as the other. I asked if she could tell me what was in the letter, which she was pleased to do. I could not believe it an offer for the 3 successional loans was £4641.38. Expecting the cheques within 30 days. I am stunned and delighted. Happy days.:j Thanks again for all the support. Good luck everybody.

    Excellent! Congratulations!

THANKS Di for the wonderful advice once again, that's another cuppa I owe you!!! My concern is as Hubby's such a lovely man and so laid back he gets taken advantage of. My claim took all of the 8 weeks but it was done, he's been waiting the same length of time and nothing. Our MP is worse than useless, he had a vote of no confidence against him not that long ago and only stayed the MP by the skin of his teeth, no going there I'm afraid. Guess it will be done eventually, still I suppose if it does take another 8 weeks we are a week in to that already THANKS to your EXCELLENT advice.XXXXX

GOOD job this is FREE advice as I'd owe a fortune by now LOL.
