You need to ring them and ask for a statement showing the loan the arrears were paid to.0 -
Just checked my online banking and I appear to have scored another hit with my PPI reclaiming! :-)
What you were reclaiming: Credit card PPI
Who was the provider: Bank One/Halifax
How much did you get back:
Refund of Premium - £1,131.32
Refund of APR - £811.86
Rebate Refund - £771.05
Total = £2,714.23
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman:
Just sent in FOS questionnaire.
My reasons for mis sell were that I had other insurance in place, I was living at home when I took it out and it was completely unnecessary given my circumstances.
This card is still live but it was actually a Bank One International card which I opened in the late '90s, which was later bought out by Halifax.
My card is now in credit, will they take it back off me and send me a cheque or do I have to get them to move it myself?0 -
Hi I have just found details of my halifax loan taken out in 2004, is there a way i can workout how much i should get back, it was only a small loan £1,000 with PPI cost of £154.90,
can anyone help?0 -
Does the ppi amount you put above include the interest, what was the loan term and did you settle early?.0

They should send you a cheque, do not use the card until they have taken this back or you will pay interest on what ever you use the card for.My card is now in credit, will they take it back off me and send me a cheque or do I have to get them to move it myself?0 -
loan details
1,000 cash loan
191.36 credit charge
154.90 insurance (PPI)
29.66 charge
loan was repaid over 24 months , not settled early
thanks
Sorry to gatecrash amersall
Hi maz1411,
You should get back all PPI paid + the interest you paid on it + 8% standard interest, so
PPI £154.90
Interest £ 29.66
8% int £ 15.45
Total £200.01Successes
Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid
MBNA £3,600 Paid

Just a quick question, the 8% interest is this regardless of how long ago it was, or is it 8% annually since they took the PPI off you?0
