I called HSBC today to see any progress! Bit scared as I have heard of a couple of rejects from HSBC. The 8 weeks is up on Monday I am able to call up Monday afternoon when its all completed! Fingers crossed my stomach is churning at the same time i have butterflies! Thers is so many success stories and I think im going to be the one who gets the knock back! Ha ha x

Im appealing on the basis that the woman implied taking PPI would assist my credit application. I have also just remembers another loan I have had and I was also yold the same thing so im going to try my luck at that one too!

Think I will wait for my response on Monday first!

I did claim back bank charges Jan 2007 That came to 750.00!

    Hiya hunni

And good luck with this, hopefully you are one of those that will have the outcome you've long awaited for.:A ;) X

Also well done on the bank charges hunni  :T  , great news, this will give hope to others as well.....:T .

I know I have just got everything crossed! Do you think my reason is a strong enough reason. I keep doubting myself its terrible haha x x
  • Just received £2365 from HSBC for refund of PPI mis-sold to me on my loan back in 2002. I only had to write once to HSBC using the first template letter and about 10 weeks later I have just heard that my complaint has been upheld.

I am delighted, thank you Martin Lewis!

Well done! Im getting my response on mon! Fingers crossed why were you mis-sold if you dont mind me asking? x
  • I am happy to post another success with Lloyds tsb bank, today I have recieved a letter from the FOS stating

"You will be pleased to hear that following our intervention, Lloyds TSB bank Plc has told me that although it maintains its original view, it has agreed to settle your complaint on what it describes as a 'goodwill basis"

In addition O.o Lloyds TSB has agreed to pay you £200 for any distress caused .

    YAY roughly £550 altogether then!

I'm not surprised about them not wanting to admit miss-selling but its a good day all around.

Thanks as usual to everyone here, you guys know who you are, and I thank you every time cause I know you work tirelessly to help people.

    Go martin!
