I was only in temporary work at the time. They are saying I was eligible as I was working 16+ hours a week but as it wasn't permanent, my argument is that I wasn't covered against involuntary unemployment. They sent me a copy of the advice sheet that the salesperson filled out - think they call it a DNP or similar? - and she has ticked the box to say that she advised me to take the PPI as it would cover me against involuntary employment, even though it didn't, so not sure how they justify rejecting my reclaim...

Feeling much less disheartened now though after re-reading their letter and reading all the lovely words of encouragement on here, thank you so much everyone who has taken the time to read and reply to my post, it really has helped x x
You are more than welcome Shrimpy. Time to take stock take a deep breath and keep on at them.:D

My husband had a loan from Halifax to which they added a £3,000 PPI insurance premium upfront. The loan was recently settled and I sent a letter saying that a) they had missold as he wasn't aware of the insurance and b) that we had repaid early so we should get back the premium, plus interest paid plus statutory interest. They agreed straight away and have just refunded nearly £4,000.

Well done Natbish Really pleased for you.:D
