  • My husband had a loan from Halifax to which they added a £3,000 PPI insurance premium upfront. The loan was recently settled and I sent a letter saying that a) they had missold as he wasn't aware of the insurance and b) that we had repaid early so we should get back the premium, plus interest paid plus statutory interest. They agreed straight away and have just refunded nearly £4,000.

    Morning everyone,
Just an update, I received a letter from C(r)ap 1 with details of my PPI refund, £117.71, plus £10.24 statutory interest Total £127.95. I had to go all the way with this, as cap 1 were not budging, had all the usual get lost letters, and had to go to the FOS, it took about 12 months from start to finish, but we got there in the end :j .

Once again thanks to the very helpful people on here, di3004, maxdp, pinknicko and anyone else I've forgotten I apologise :o . This refund is another nail in the coffin of my debts, and I couldn't have done it without your help :D

    Your all stars :T :T :T :T :T

    Well Done again Sparky:T :A
