  • Hi I submitted a complaint to Tesco Bank which I know was delivered on 24th February 2012 but to date have not recieved acknowledgement of the compaint.

I phoned a PPI number on the Tesco website and was told this was the wrong number and given this number 01413312366 thing is this number is always engaged.

Does anyone have any other numbers for contacting Tesco PPI complaints or email addresses?

    Thanks

Just got my letter from the Halifax, and an offer of over £3000 for PPI. Didnt think it would work as the loan was over 6 years finished but was linked to a second loan repaid 5 years ago. So don't be put off by the 6 year rule - it worked for me.

For the cost of two stamps, a cheque is on its way. Credit cards not playing ball and refusing to give information but I am so happy about the loan.

Thank you MSE for being brilliant. I couldnt have done it without you.

hi, I am tying myself in knots trying to work out the best way to start claiming,
should I simly write a letter , or fill out the form that I found on here? I need to reclaim from Capital one and egg, so far!
  • Received a letter from HSBC this morning offering me a settlement figure for my PPI claims on 2 loans. They offered me, wait for it........... £3,932!!!! I'm so shocked and grateful to your help in claiming! All it took was one letter and questionnaire and a few weeks of patience and now I can pay off my credit card and go on holiday with the family! To top it off I have another loan that this hasn't covered which based on this offer should add another £1000. Not bad for one letter and not much effort. Do it now!!

Capital One replied to my first letter informing me that they were investigating my claim and would get in touch again when they have a decision - No Form to fill in This is their address
    Executive Office,
    Capital One (Europe) plc,
    PO Box 5281,
Nottingham NG2 3HX. Capital One have accepted my claim and made me an offer

You'll need to get in touch with Barclays re. egg card as they now own the name They'll send you a form to fill in. I suppose you could download the form on this site, but I preferred to have a letter back from Barclays with a reference number and prepaid envelope to send it back to the correct person.

    HTH Good luck
(MBNA were same as Capital One apart from they have already let me know they accept my claim and are paying me back. No Form to fill in
So obviously all Banks vary in the way they deal with peoples claims.)
UPDATE 16 APRIL Capital One have made me an offer which I've accepted. It is nowhere near the MBNA amount because I had hardly used the CapOne card but hey in these hard times I'm grateful for anything

    Hi All,

It has been over a year when I called GB PPI claiming company. After listening about my case, they asked £50 but I said I didn't have £50 but accepted to £pay £10 instead, to start the procedure. There were PPI claims for my CC and Loans. I got CC PPI within a few months and paid the the 25%+VAT.

For my loans the bank refused therefore the case went to FOS and now the bank has agreed to pay after over a year.

I heard and now I can understand how straight forward it is to put a claim forward.

At the time I made the claim, I was lead (mis-lead) to believe (based on the ads) that an individual (myself) cold not do it and needed expert advice/intervention.

    £25+vat is lot.

Since I was 'mis-lead' into believing that I needed their expert advice and did not inform me that I could do it on my own:

    1. Can I launch a complaint and ask to annul/void the contract.
    2. and when GB said no, what would be their possible actions?
    3. Would be better to go through the court to argue the case and may be set a precedent?

    What else, please.

It's my hard earn money and it's a huge chunk the want from it.

    Thank you all for reading...
When you signed a contract with them it was for all ppi redress as you stated, they got redress for you and will need to be paid.

Having said that, they acted wrongly here if you had to pay an upfront fee and they "lied to you" about the claim process.

you need to write to the company and tell them that they mislead you about the claims process, but be careful as you have had cc wins and you settled the bill for those without question, when did you find out that you could do the claim yourself?,you could ask if they will renegotiate the fee, you could say that you are putting a complaint into the claims management regulator about the " lies" they told you about making a claim .

If you do not pay the bill they can and will take you to court and if you cannot prove they misled you then you will have to pay the fee plus court costs.
