PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

I reclaimed using the form on here and have just received over £6K back. £2K was what I had actually paid and the rest is the interest. This is from the Natwest for a credit card. In addition I also enquired about a loan I had previously with the Natwest and received just on £2K back.
Great day.0 -
I took a loan out with HFC in April 2001 and paid it back in full May 2006. I believe I was missold PPI. Emailed HFC 30/1/12, they emailed back and then sent me a questionnaire to fill in. I sent it back by recorded delivery 14/2/12. Today I received a letter saying I was not missold PPI. They sent copies of papers they had at the time I took out the loan. One page they have sent me looks as if my signature has been forged (good likeness but I know it is not my signature, and could prove it). I have found at least 6 glaring mistakes from the paperwork they sent me. HFC said this is there final response, what is my next step would you recommend taking it to FOS?

letter on Satuday upholding complaint.
Just checked online banking and full payment received.
£2242:j
I do feel so sorry for all the people waiting months and months for payments.
Mine was less than 8 weeks from start to finish.
I really can't understand the logic with that bank!!!!
Good luck everyone:beer:0 -

Hi Sorry to hear that, if that was the final decision they should enclose details of the FOS with the leaflet on how to complain to them, so you can do so now if you wish to, but otherwise write back and ask them to reconsider within 14 days, and if you hear nothing by then, tell them you will be taking this matter further.
Maybe you should mention about the mistakes as well and about the signature matter and the prove you have of this, it may budge them hopefully.
Good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thanks Di. HFC did say they were enclosing a brochure detailing how I could take this to the FOS if I was not happy, the brochure was not enclosed. I think I will write to them again telling them about the mistakes in their paperwork and how on one page it is not my signature.
Will let you know the outcome.

Your welcome
Mention that as there was no leaflet enclosed you understand that it's fair to ask for a reconsideration.;)
Look forward to hearing the outcome, fingers crossed. xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

One creditor cannot take preference over another as you are in a plan to pay back, the money could be spread over all the debts, the only way you will know is to ring them and find out, they may take the arrears that you owe them and give the remaining redress back to you, the bank is better placed to tell you what they are doing, we can only guess as to what they will do.
The 8% comes to you regardless of the other redress, make sure you get this and you need to pay tax on this amount.
very happy today called ppi... lady was very understanding she told me to contact collections they told me because i had payment plan in place there would be no problem and that i could take the money out of my account HAPPY DAYS!!0 -
Did they take the two months of arrears and leave you with the rest? I'm glad you're happy with the end result!:)sands4ever30 wrote: »very happy today called ppi... lady was very understanding she told me to contact collections they told me because i had payment plan in place there would be no problem and that i could take the money out of my account HAPPY DAYS!!0 -
just embarked on my final PPI claim against Barclays. After recent successes with MBNA (25k) and RBS (7.5K). i remembered i had a barclayloan for approx 12k. i have no paperwork for this loan so sent off for a SAR well over 40 days ago. nothing received so called various barclays numbers until i found a very helpful lady who put me through to their insurance dept in dublin. talked to another helpful chap who gave me the info that i'd had 2,500 ppi added to the front of the loan when i took it out in 04.(ended last year). he then took my number and said he'd have the ppi claim team call me. expecting nothing, they called me later that day and took my complaint over the phone. the whole thing took no more than 10 mins.
im not holding my breath as it seems Barclays try all they can not to settle. (i have 2 barclaycard ppi claims with the fos since last oct).
take it from someone who has used a claims company before..DONT...you can do it yourself.it simple..!
anyway..lets see what happens here. the barclayloan ppi was miss sold to me on many levels.0 -
