all we have left now is a mortgage sure claim which an answer is due in the next two weeks.
Has anybody out there had a successful claim from lloydstsb for mortgage sure?
thanks for a great site martin .
Congratulations!
I expect there is many who have, have you also tried posting on a separate thread within the reclaiming threads and subject it "Mortgage ppi help", and then you should receive response from others who have gone that direction.
Good luck with this one too.The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Would someone know if there was normally a ppi attached to Loans secured on a mortgage.
I borrowed an additinal £45k from my mortgage Lenders (Abbey) in Sept. 2002 and this appears as Lona 2 on my mortgage statement.
However, when I asked them if a ppi was attched they responded that they cannot find any proof of ppi. This borrowing was done over the phone, so I have no paperwork.
When I wrote to them to send me the Loan agrrement, all they sent is the agreement for the initial mortgage (Loan 1), and nothing for Loan 2.
I am requesting for a SAR just to convince myself that I was not paying for something I didn't know about.
Thanks all for your help.
Hi
Back some years ago, also at the time you taken out your mortgage it was known that PPI was attached to a mortgage from the same lender.
Hopefully you will receive something useful amongst your SAR paperwork when it comes back, but other than that, I take it then you had taken out a mortgage cover out elsewhere to protect your mortgage - with not being aware at the time the lender may have already added one to the mortgage too?The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Was amzingly simple. Noticed I was still paying PPI on my MBNA card and this had been previously credit cards with Alliance and Leicester before takeover.
Phoned to MBNA to say didnt understand why I was paying PPI and could they cancel it. Also advised that it was with Alliance and Leicester previously and I had statements of proof to show was paying as far back as 2007.
They did all the work of tracing payments and I didnt have to fill in a single form. This was about a month ago and today I get a nice cheque for £2400.:j
Well done and Congratulations!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi all, got a question for you? I went to a ppi claiming company gave them all the accounts I had records for but they came back to say No PPI and didnt think anymore of it! However Lloyds Tsb then checked all loan and credit card accounts I've had with them way back to 1999 and came back with an offer of £20,232 which is amazing ! But here is the problem the PPI company are saying they want their 25% commission even though they had not been given these acccounts to chase by me, it was Lloyds tsb themselves that checked my history and found out about my long lost accounts ! Do I have to pay them as they didnt chase those accounts and they said I had no PPI claims on the one I gave them??? Please help !!!
WOW that is amazing, Congratulation!
Do you have a letter of proof that the claims company said no ppi?
If so you can try using that in your defence and maybe contact Claims regulation, have a word with them, if the claims company did not end up doing anything for you, other than confirm no ppi, I think you should complain about that to the claims company first, and also make some contact with claims regulation as well.

Reclaiming- ppi on mortgage
Provider-HBOS
Returned-£4805
Returned after a phone call stating my reasons as to why I thought I had been mis sold this policy.
About 8 weeks ago I received a letter from HBOS saying they were changing t&cs on my insurance policy. When i took this policy out 9 years ago it was sold as a life insurance policy but in the letter ppi was mentioned,so i phoned HBOS and asked if this was the case. The answer was although it was in part life insurance it was also ppi for my mortgage I was stunned. At that point I asked to make a claim for mis-sold ppi.All my details were taken, a week later I received a letter saying my case would be considererd and I would hear within 12 weeks of a decision.Today 8 weeks later te confirmation letter arrived so I am delighted. All for the price of a 10 minute phone call.:T0 -
Hi all, I have just rang egg to check if the had received my marriage licience that they had requested, the lady on the phone then told me a letter had been sent out on the 8th(not received yet) she told me my claim had been rejected but would not disclose why I had to wait for the letter, I am gutted to say the least, this was a claim on an egg card. I can't wait to see the reason why they have rejected it. Has anyone else been rejected by egg then go on to have it upheld.
Any advice would be great, thanks michelle0 -
Thanks Di3004
Yes I have a Email confirming the accounts had no PPI claims and the case is closed! On the ones I gave them!
But lloyds looked at all my loans etc that I didnt give to my PPI company and thats what I have got the money from and was nothing to do with the PPI company! They are now chasing me for £6000 which I feel is unfair! I will try what you have suggested thanks!0 -
How do they know you have been awarded any money?0
