I have also spoke to the bank as i do online banking and can see the money coming out on my statements but no account number. The bank says they can not help is this correct?
As the DD is now closed they will not have this info anymore, have you gone on your DD list to see if it is still there?, it may just be.
Failing that, do a Sar to Tesco.

Enclose £10 and give them 40 days to respond.0 -

After following advice on here I put in two complaints. One for my Lloyds TSB loan which I mis-sold PPI on and one on a Capital One Credit Card I had about 5 years ago when I was never given any option it was just added.
I had only had the card for a year and probably used it once and paid it off within two months. I knew PPI was added as I queried the extra charge at the time and was told it was mandatory. As this was a few years ago I had no statements left and didn't even know the card number! On my complaint I provided my full name and the addresses I resided at whilst I had the card.
I got a letter from Capital One today and was fully expecting a fob off but to my surprise they have investigated and upheld my claim!
Now to the juicy bit! The settlement!
"I can confirm that our offer of redress totals £4.76 (premiums of £3.42, interest of £0.28 and an additional interest of £1.06)"
Not the biggest win in the world but it is the principle of the matter that counts and like I said I probably only used the card once!
So today I have treated myself to a posh coffee and cake all on Capital One!:D:D

RedAndBlue wrote: »Hi All,
I have read hundereds of pages of this thread which have been not only useful but inspirational to me and my Husband on our debt free/reclaim journey.
Having trouble with HSBC. My Husbands loan and credit card are with Metropolitan debt collections which I believe are HSBC's in house debt collectors. We are being passed from one foreign call centre to another trying to get some information on his accounts and had just about enough now. Please can someone give me the email address for the CEO as I've seen people have had quick responses this way.
Also, am I going about this the right way; I have sent letters with £1 cheques requesting original agreement and T&C's from my creditors to see if I have PPI on my accounts. Would I be better hedging my bets and sending the FOC questionnaire anyway to speed things up a bit?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated

With the CC the ppi may not show on the agreement as this could have been added at a later date, i would Sar both, give them 40 days to comply and enclose £10 for each bank, if all are with the same bank then you only need one request.0 -

I thought this one would be an easy win because when I received the SAR info the payments were listed as loads of different things across the two years and had been handwritten onto the SAR report too.
Sorry to hear this, did you listen to the recording? it could be that it was edited so that the FOS only heard what they were meant to.0 -
hi all,Because of this great site ive received my first goodwill gesture off RBS,i sent 7 seperate PPI claims for various amounts.
But before i send it back i need to know do all the claims get done separate, because i sent them all together but only one came back bit worried that they have not looked at the others.
cheers Alan:)
They will all be looked at.0 -
Our 12 weeks are up tomorrow but not heard anything....
we are claiming the RBS credit card....should we have has an offer before now?
Did you receive the acknowledgement after 2 weeks?, if you did then give them a couple more days, have you checked your bank in case they have paid it into there if you have won?.0 -

Could you please advise me if this looks like Halifax Total Mortgage Protection? If so, could you please advise me where I would get a copy of the policy or at least details of when I opened/closed the account and monthly premium (it ended in 2005)? I did have a previous mortgage with Halifax from 1992 to 2005 (this is also listed on the printout).
Also, assuming that it is for TMP, where do I send a claim for a missold policy?
I'd appreciate any advice from people who have had these policies running.
Thanks in advance.
You only need the account number and reasons for mis sell
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step2
Then phone them.

Just wanted to share, I wrote to several companies asking for documents in early December. I gost some back that I thought I could claim on.
I did questionnaires for Dorothy Perkins Card (Santander), Tesco Loan and Halifax credit card all on 20h December 2011.
They all acknowledged really quickly to say looking into and could take up to 12 weeks etc.
Then I got a letter from Santander in middle of January upholding my claim for £177, as I still owed on this account they paid it directly on there - I owed £189 so i had to pay a grand total of £12 to clear my debt with them.
Then today I received letters from both Halifax and Tesco Loan (the 12 weeks would have elapsed on 6th March) The Halifax offered me £329 as this was an old card and I owe nothing they are going to send me a cheque so I'm happy with that!
The Tesco Loan I had, I had cancelled the PPI about 2 years into the 5 year loan as we couldnt claim on it, at the time, they had reduced our payments from £286 a month to £255 a month but we never received a refund.
The letter we received, offered us a refund of the premiums paid, 8% interest and when they looked into the account they realised that when our payments were lowered, they should have been lowered to £243 so offered refund of the difference of the overpayment we had paid for the final 3 years! The loan finished in September 2011 so nothing to pay them and the total refund offered was just over £1300. I'm very happy right now and just need to wait for the payments.
There are a couple more I need to look into and this has spurred me on even more.
Thanks for all the advise on here, it really helped me 'bite the bullet' and just do it!
I received the offer letters on Saturday 3rd March and today receieved one cheque for £329 from Halifax! Not massive but gone a long way to helpng me! Start to Finish - 12 weeks and 1 day0
