Hi MSE sent in a claim on 24/11/11 for the return of my PPI on a loan. Today I received a cheque for £2029.40!!
£1604.43 for PPI and associated interest
£424.97 for 8% interest
I'm a very happy bunny indeed! Just hope my ppi on credit cards go as well but have only just put the claim in.:j:j
Does anyone know if I now have to pay tax on this or can I just put it in the bank?
Thanks for the help on this forum, you're all STARS :j :j0 -

I am sure i have read success stories on her and i am sure my husbands card has got ppi on it, she told me that they only do card repayment protection is this not the same? many thanks michelle
Hi hun,
they do have ppi on these cards but call it something like repayment option plan, i have claimed my credit card charges from these and they are now processing my ppi as we call it on there as well, if you think the ppi was on there why dont you send them the questionairre of this website like i did, it seems to have worked for me x0 -
Go for it katiejane123
Hi hun
i sent this letter to them for two accounts that were closed only last year, they say they have no record of me, but no that i didnt have ppi on them! how they no this without having any details on me i dont no, wish you all the luck with them for you, and if anyone can advise me on what to do next?0 -
Advice please
Some success with Barclays on an old loan from 2002. They could find no paperwork or account details but I had copies of the agreement.
They have offered me (as a gesture) £1800.
The PPI part of the loan was £1201.09 plus credit charge, making a total of £1325.04 payable over 24 months. I am sure the loan ran the full course.
Is this a reasonable offer? They have enclosed the cheque but say I can return it and ask them to recalculate if I have more information etc.
Should I just bank it?0 -

Sounds a decent offer klflosser, don't forget you have to pay tax on the 8% figure, phone HMRC and they will either alter your tax code or send a payment slip. Well doneSuccesses

Hi all, had my first success with mbna cc, they have offered me £249 this includes all interest, I think this is a bit low but unsure, had the card for 3 years the balance was between £1000 and £2700 for most of the time does this amount sound about right or should it be more, I have rang to query it and the lady said the calculator never gets it wrong! What do you guys think? Thanks michelle0

Hi shellnpaul, impossible to say from the figures you have quoted, you need to look at a statement from the card and it should tell you what you were paying each month, give us that figure and we could advise betterSuccesses
