I have received a letter from HSBC that they are upholding my PPI on a loan, and they looked into previous loans I have had too.
They are paying out £18,000 - needless to say I absolutely speechless! This will pay off the remaining two years of my loan and leaves me £12k and debt free.
Again, a huge thank you to everyone on this forum for their help and encouragement - I wouldn't have done it without you!0 -
Well done guys, some great news.
I really need to stop reading these success stories, as I'm waiting on another 1 or 2 to come back, I was delighted with £90 I got back, then ecstatic when I got back £460 from another, now I'm hoping for big massive pay-outs of 1000s of pounds, LOL, I'm getting too greedy now looking in here all the time.

Hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone knows the timescale in which HSBC deal with there ppi claims?
I sent it of on the 14th of feb and was wondering whether i should follow it up with a phone call?0 -
phoned santander to see if they had received my claim, which i sent in dec 2011, as i have had no correspondance. i was told i probably sent it to the wrong address(even though it was the one off the website). i was told i could claim over the phone, however i dont have account numbers. i have just sent a letter to their archive dept to see if they can retrieve them. anyone know how long this can take????
thanks0 -
Hi
Can I ask you knowledgeable people whether you have any advice on my attempt to claim ppi.
I dug out 2 old Credit agreements for 2 cars I bought in 2002/2003 where there was a pre-ticked box for PPI.
Purchased cars through Autolink Services Ltd with finance through GE Capital Bank trading as GE Capital Woodchester (now part of Santander)
Santander wrote back and told me to go through the dealer but they no longer exist!!
Called the FSCS who could not trace them and advised as it is prior to Jan 2005 they could not assist.
Is that the end of the road??
I have several pending cases which I shall report on as and when
Thanks v much in advance0 -

When were these loans settled?,if less than 6 years ago, get a free trial of your credit report,as you can use the last 4 digits of the account,or try your bank for the DD,if they find this, the account number will be there.0 -
Hubby successful in reclaiming mis sold PPI from American Express. They did however say that this was a goodwill gesture and were not admitting liability.
£1800 refunded to his account.0 -
