Does anyone have an address or telephone no for FNM. I had a car loan with them which was settled 2009. After checking some old letters i see th@ PPI was on this agreement.Just another one th@ i did not need as it would have been paid , as i got full pay if sick & life ins, & redundancy. I rang the number but it is a dead line . Any help appreciated. Thankyou.
Was this the number you rang? 08706007040.
Give FOS a ring and ask how you can get hold of this company, they may be able to help you.
  • Barclays informed us that we were getting a refund in December and the money went into our account last week. However, the letter that they have sent confirming the amount gives no breakdown of the amount for tax purposes. I can't see how we can declare the figure to the inland revenue at the moment, are they likely to give this over the phone or do we need it in writing for tax purposes? Also do we pay tax on the 8% interest given as compensation or the whole amount. Thanks for your help in this.

£1600 refunded from MBNA!!! I am chuffed to bits because i never thought i would get anywhere near that amount!! Thanks very much MSE...move onto Natwest and my loan now!!

How long did it take ? :T
  • At last, Lloyds TSB seem to be getting their act together.
I received confirmation that they were settling one of my claims for £2,800 on 17th. January, and I sent back the acceptance form immediately. This was paid into my account on 20th. February. Well done Lloyds, credit where credit is due.
Now just waiting for further claim against Lloyds which they refused, and is now with the FOS. No adjudicator appointed yet, so long wait ahead.
The one thing I have learnt from other 'posters' is to be patient, and do not give up.
    Thanks again to all.

Was this a goodwill gesture? if it was they do not give you the 8%.
If this was not a goodwill then ring them up and ask what the 8% was,and to send you a breakdown in writing for HMRC. you only pay tax on this part.
  • I rang Barclaycard regarding my egg loan and the mis sold ppi on the 31/1 they said i would receive a confirmation letter in 5 working days, I received letter today from Barclays dated 17/2 saying following our letter dated 9/2 (which i never recived) they say they have carried out further investigation and are unable to locate a policy in my name, i gave them my previous address, date of birth etc. I have rang Barclays to clarify and they say because they taken all of egg's past accounts they are some they can't locate so therefore my complaint has not been upheld.. what do i do now can someone please advice me. thanks

How much did you get back: £1107
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: FSCS QUESTIONNAIRE

Sent reply to FSCS mid jan recieved a letter today saying that the amount above will be credited against outstanding loans. Am happy with that because didn't expect to get anything.....
