Hi, I just phoned them, they have added it to my tax code, it works out about 20% on your interest, for this loan I have to pay back £45, at £4 a month for a year. This will need to be done for every PPI claim that is successful, they are getting quite a few people ringing up about it. Personally I think it's a bit unfair but I am still £730 odd up from all this, with other claims still running.
  • £1600 refunded from MBNA!!! I am chuffed to bits because i never thought i would get anywhere near that amount!! Thanks very much MSE...move onto Natwest and my loan now!!

    Hi all

i used one of the letters provided by moneysavingexpert to apply for Ppi claim.

My loan was with Lloyds. I received a letter saying my claim is successful and i will be receiving £4176.

I didn't expect anything near that. It will come in very handy as i am getting married this year.

    Cheers

Does anyone have an address or telephone no for FNM. I had a car loan with them which was settled 2009. After checking some old letters i see th@ PPI was on this agreement.Just another one th@ i did not need as it would have been paid , as i got full pay if sick & life ins, & redundancy. I rang the number but it is a dead line . Any help appreciated. Thankyou.

    Hi,

I have just received a response from Capital One who have refused to give me a refund on my PPI cover. They have sent back the original form that I filled out and it shows that I did say I wanted PPI cover but I can't remember ticking the box on the form. I was working for the NHS at the time I applied and they didn't bother to find out who my employer was.

I just need some advice as to where to go now or do I not have a leg to stand on. I was not given any information regarding PPI I just thought I would have to have it!.

This is my first no to a refund otherwise I have been very successful!.

    Thanks
  • Newbie, so be gentle with me.
I took a loan out through a broker (CT Capital) who placed it with First Plus back in 2001. Have only just started to claim back my PPI (both working and would of been on full pay for 6 months if sick, plus was given a single policy for a joint loan)
This loan was replaced with a further advance, First Plus in late 2002.
First Plus have acknowledged and investigating their side of it (the further advance) but have wiped their hands with the original loan as this was down to the broker.
Broker have said it is Time Barred and that they werent regulated at the time and have closed down my complaint.
Have got in touch with FOS who are now going to register a complaint with the underwriter (jubilee) so see if i can claim against them.
Any thoughts, success with FOS and or Claim against Underwriters.
    Thanks
    :)

Have had a letter from the underwriters (Jubilee) saying that they are not responsible for the actual sale of the policy and therefore are not going to respond anymore.
I havent spoken to Jubilee and am just dealing with Lloyds. I have a pre written complaint form to FOS (pre written by FOS) to go to Lloyds. I have just this minute spoken to Lloyds asking them if they instructed Jubilee to give me this final answer. Lloyds said that was Jubilee's final answer but not Lloyds. She told me that FOS and Lloyds are still holding high level talks as to handle these type of complaints and i will be informed in due course. I will let you know as soon as i hear.
Still havent had any word from First Plus about their miss selling but it is still early days on that one.
  • What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI
    Who was the provider: HSBC
How much did you get back: £6300
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1 Letter and form from this website
And then write your brief reclaim tale

I sent a letter with a cheque for £1 as I was unsure if I had PPI on this loan original letter sent 4th October 2011 . HSBC wrote back to me and enclosed the form for me to complete, I had already sent it but I sent it again stating that I was unaware that I had PPI and if I had an option I wouldn't have opted for it as I have sick pay and redundancy benefits at work. I received a letter to say sorry for the delay we are looking into it. ABout a week later received a letter offering £6300 o be paid within 4 weeks. We are thrilled all thanks to this website!! :money:
