I would just like to know if anyone can advise is this right , As reading stories on here people are being paid out a lot further back than that. thanks in advance .

enclose 310 and this should get you all info they hold on you.
If this only covered redundancy, would you have settled this loan,or continue to make the monthly payments towards this?,if you would have, then put a claim in for mis sell if you have reasons

You only need the account number and reasons why you think you were mis sold.0 -

I have loan sold to me through Loans.co.uk with PPI. I believe i have grounds to reclaim but they are no longer trading. Have found an active registered company number but they won't respond to letters.
They have been fined and the timescale that refers to was the time they sold me the ppi -
Am about to send forms to ombudsman but has anyone had any success with getting anything back from this company - we will see what happens but don't hold out much hope.
Ask FOS advice first, they may know the address you send the claim to.0 -
Hi
I complained against HSBC saying PPI missold, they declined the complaint, so I went to FOS who agreed with HSBC, only reason being they believed if I had known the PPI was optional I still would have taken it.
I have appealled and it has been with the FOS for 18 months, in that time there was the court rulling.
Has anyone had a similiar situation, are the FOS likely to just agree with their initial decision or go in my favour...?
Thanks for any help in advance0 -
In 2003 I bought a car from Yes Car Credit and in the wake of the scum that the missell of PPIs (and mechanical breakdown insurance) have become I duly sent a refund complaint letter to them in October 2011. YCC responded to my complaint letter through a 2 page disclaimer which, from reading the thread, appears to be their first line of defense. The generality of the tone of the letter places the blame on me because YCC assume that in the short period of time it took to secure the sell of the vehicle; 1) I had had time to read and understand the terms of the contrat. 2) I, therefore, knowingly agreed to the contract, hence, I signed to it.
My woes were compounded when I contacted the Financial Ombudsman PPI reclaim department who categorically advised me that they were not going to be in a position to assist as they do not cover YCC and Direct Auto Financial Services.
I was, however, advised to find out the insurance organisation that under wrote the deal that I entered into with YCC/DAFS and if found I should recontact the Ombudsman's office.
My dilemma is that some of the paper work on the deal has since gone missing and if I contact YCC/DAFS I might not get a favourable response. Is there any member of the thread community who can advise?

Give FOS a ring and see if they can verify this.0 -

Looking for some advice. I'm looking to claim back payment protection cover for a credit card I have. However, I originally took out the credit card with Halifax Bank of Scotland which was then transfered to MBNA by HBOS.
Who should I send the claim form to?
Thanks,
Andrew

They may agree with the original decision, but you never know, what reasons did you give for mis sell and how did they know that you would have taken it if you had known it was optional?.
Hi they said as my salary wasnt that big, they believed even if i knew it was optional they thought I would still have elected to have it... it seemed so strange that alone is hoping following me writting to ensure them I would not have taken it out will make them reverse the decision.
I never had this problem with Tesco, Barclaycard and LTSB0 -

Hi, Im fairly new to this, however if you spend some time reading through the threads you will get help and advice. What ive read is that you should not go through a claims company, you can do it all yourself. You can phone lloyds or complete a form to start your complaint. Might be best to know what you had PPI on and why it was mis-sold first. Good luck0 -
Thanks I thought from what I have read so far it looks like you can do it yourself.0
