Hello all,
I have received a letter from HSBC that they are upholding my PPI on a loan, and they looked into previous loans I have had too.
They are paying out £18,000 - needless to say I absolutely speechless! This will pay off the remaining two years of my loan and leaves me £12k and debt free.
Again, a huge thank you to everyone on this forum for their help and encouragement - I wouldn't have done it without you!0 -
Great news! You must be over the moon.
I'm really happy for you :-)0 -
In 2003 I bought a car from Yes Car Credit and in the wake of the scum that the missell of PPIs (and mechanical breakdown insurance) have become I duly sent a refund complaint letter to them in October 2011. YCC responded to my complaint letter through a 2 page disclaimer which, from reading the thread, appears to be their first line of defense. The generality of the tone of the letter places the blame on me because YCC assume that in the short period of time it took to secure the sell of the vehicle; 1) I had had time to read and understand the terms of the contrat. 2) I, therefore, knowingly agreed to the contract, hence, I signed to it.
My woes were compounded when I contacted the Financial Ombudsman PPI reclaim department who categorically advised me that they were not going to be in a position to assist as they do not cover YCC and Direct Auto Financial Services.
I was, however, advised to find out the insurance organisation that under wrote the deal that I entered into with YCC/DAFS and if found I should recontact the Ombudsman's office.
My dilemma is that some of the paper work on the deal has since gone missing and if I contact YCC/DAFS I might not get a favourable response. Is there any member of the thread community who can advise?0 -
That's brilliant news, congrats to you.

Hi,
Looking for some advice. I'm looking to claim back payment protection cover for a credit card I have. However, I originally took out the credit card with Halifax Bank of Scotland which was then transfered to MBNA by HBOS.
Who should I send the claim form to?
Thanks,

HI.
I have loan sold to me through Loans.co.uk with PPI. I believe i have grounds to reclaim but they are no longer trading. Have found an active registered company number but they won't respond to letters.
They have been fined and the timescale that refers to was the time they sold me the ppi -
Am about to send forms to ombudsman but has anyone had any success with getting anything back from this company - we will see what happens but don't hold out much hope.0
