    HI guys

I have just received my SAR details from MBNA, but I think there is something missing

I have the infomation 2 cards and I have had a loan in the past from them too but they did not send the details of the loan

    anyway on a differnet note,

When I look at my applications for cc it does look like I have ticked the box, for PPI, although I know I was never asked about any existing medical conditions and have not been to this day. one was taken out in 1998, and the other in 2001.

Is the fact I apparently ticked the payment protection box, likely to cause issues with my Claim?
  • Hi there, just to report that I had success with Creation Financial Services, initial rejection then i counter claimed. The result was although they did not admit liability they would repay as a goodwill gesture, all premiums plus interest totalling £165, not a lot I know but still a success.
Got a letter today from BOS regarding reclaim for Mortgage PPI and result, 5 weeks since claim and we are getting a cheque for £3,260 .... Get in !!!
    Keep on fighting.:rotfl:

what is the policy number and if your earning had ceased during the term of the loan how would have maintained regular payments? Don't know how to answer these questions because at the time we were both in full time employment and we could have met the payments
You do not need the policy number, they will find you from the loan number so just put "you dont know".
You have to put how you would have paid the loan if you were made unemployed or off work sick, did you have sick pay from your employers, life insurance, maybe savings? this is what they want to know.

We were sold the loan in HFC branch and their staff member told us we should take the insurance as it would mean the loan would be paid to us. the staff member did not say at any point that it was optional.
This is hearsay, your word against the staff member, you have no proof,so this is a hard reason for mis sell to use.

Look here for other reasons you may have been mis sold http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step2
Any/all that apply to you,put these on the form.
!I also put a complaint in to HFC but have not received any response..
When did you put the complaint in?.

As you are on a DMP i should warn you (unless you already know this) if you win redress this will go to the DMP,but, the 8% has to go to you, they cannot use this off the debt.

    Hi Guys,

Just had a reply from NatWest in response regarding a small chain of loans I've had. They have made a collective "Goodwill Offer" totalling £347.81. Not much but I'm not sure if I should appeal against it simply as I don't know what the real total due should be.

    any advice guys?

    Thanks for your time

    AP
How long ago did you take these loans out and when were they settled?.
As this is a goodwill gesture, the bank more than likely do not have this info, but the amount is very small for a chain of loans!.
You could ask them how they came to this "offer" if they have no info.

Ring them and tell them the SAR is incomplete, ask for the info on the loan.

If these were internet applications, you had to opt out of ppi,the box may have already been ticked.
Look here for reasons for mis sell

If any/all apply to you, then put a claim in.

:j:j:j:jwell done and congrats to all winners this week:T:T:TSPECIAL CONGRATS TO WINNERS WITH MY FAVE COMPANY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD:p:p:p BARCLAYS FIRST PLUS:T:T:T:T:T:T
  • Bank NatWest (/RBS)
Type of finance 3 loans, each rolled into the next, 3 years left to run
Date complaint filed 12th Jan 2012 - telephone call to PPI complaint dept, followed up by FOS questionnaire, one for each loan
Complaint reason Single premium front-loaded PPI
Date of response 18th Feb 2012
Turnaround time 5 and a bit weeks for decision to land on the doormat

Complaint upheld, which is rather good news! Tax taken off as seems the norm for these guys. The redress clears the outstanding balance of the loan, which means after years servicing debt I can finally start to save for a house woohoo!

Thanks to everyone on here for the information and positive messages, they may not have been addressed to me necessarily but it gives you the motivation to go out and have a go.
  • Finally got my last payment from Bank Of Scotland - hooray! Just bought myself a new computer with it

Well done to this week's other winners, and good luck to those still waiting!
  • i just got £5507 back from HSBC

The loans go back 6-7 years and in theory they were all the same loan which was refinanced each year or so, so in theory NatWest/RBS are looking at them as separate loans.

I'm assuming they have thoroughly looked through the info and the offers are a genuine reflection of what's due? Or am I being nieve?
