My 3rd claim with MBA has been upheld thats 3 totalling £20k now (1 x CC, 2 X loans)
the CEO there Ian Doherty is very good, emailed him and he gets within a day with the breakdown, if only Lloyd's were as good !
Question though can anyone help - How do i tell the taxman about the 8% interest (does he get it all or just a portion of it), but if someone could tell me who ro write to or website i would be most grateful
thanks0 -
Hi all
I have posted this question on another forrum but thought it might fit better here...
I have received an offer letter from Natwest for each of the 4 loans we have had. Each one stated an amount + interest = Total offer. We accepted on Monday
Today we have recieved two amounts into our account. These are for the two lowest loans and do not include the interest element. Am I right in thinking the interest has to be recalculated to today and will be paid seperately or have I got it completely wrong?
Has anyone else been paid in this way by Natwest?
Thanks In Advance0 -
Hello all,
I would like to say thank you for this forum as due to the information and the shared stories I decided to get in touch with Santander about the lan I took out with Cahoot in 2005.
I sent one letter to them detailing that I felt I was mis sold PPI, that I wanted a full list of all the transactions and a copy of the terms of my loan.
Cahoot had been bought by Abbey and then Santander, with such a huge company I expected to get caught up in a paper trail and for it to take onths of communication to get anywhere.
Oh, how wrong I was!!! One letter from me, then one week later a reply came through with an offer £6,313 refund. Over the moon doesn't even cover it!
So I would like to encourage anyone who thinks they even remotely have a reason for claiming to do so. I was young and naive when I took my loan out and I have regretted it so many times. Now I can clear credit cards off and cut them up! I can support my partner financially as he fights for contact with his child. THERE IS LIGHT OUT THERE!
Thank you to all previous posters for the encouraging stories!0 -
Ive had a successful claim thanks to this site!
I took out a loan in 2003 to pay for my new car, then refinanced this in 2005.
I finished paying this off in 2010 and as I claimed back in 2006 (I broke my foot playing football so was off work) id always believed I had no case for a claim. After reading on here and various other sites about how this makes no difference i completed a simple letter and filled out the questionaire from this site.
I sent these off just before xmas and got a response on the 30th December 2011 saying my claim would be assessed and I would hear the outcome within 8 weeks. Yesterday I got the letter offering me £5100, minus the claim amount I made (£276) so ive got £4824 coming to me over the next week or so :T
Im over the moon, i never expected so much! Given we are getting married in Aug and going on our honeymoon this is a big help, plus we need a new bathroom too.
Thanks to this site and everyones help/posts on here.0 -

FINALLY A PAYMENT AND ALL OVER!
22 weeks later I have finally received all my money from lloyds...
I received £2500 for a loan back at the end of November and then have got the final £500 for my credit card today. This morning I tranferred the money over to my Nationwide account and on my lunch break today I have been and closed my LLoyds account. Gave me so much pleasure to do so!! Never dealing with them again....
Good luck to everyone, I hope you all get your money very soon. Keep fighting, keep pestering!
May 2011 - Questionnaires sent to Lloyds
August 2011 - Upheld for both Loan and Credit card
16th September 2011 - Receive my offer letters for both
November 2011 - Receive loan payment
17th Feb 2012 - Receive credit card payment
17th Feb 2012 - account closed, the end

Great news.
Can I ask what reasons you give for claiming back, we are in a similar position going to try and claim off our Egg accounts but have claimed for sickness for a few months many years ago.0 -

At the time I was a 23 year old , still living at home and working for the public sector in I.T. Everywhere was booming so the chances of me losing my job were very slim and even if i did I had my parents down as the guarantors on the loan. They were financially secure for the rest of their lives so why would I have taken PPI out unless I was mis sold? I wouldnt have
This was all put forward to the bank in my letter/the questionaire.0 -

Thanks, my husband was in a good job with full sick pay at the time too, so may put that as our reason.0
