got my rejection letter from barclays today about my morgan stanley credit card i had.
"We have ientified that your application for PPI was submitted by post. At the point of applying for PPI, the process required you to select the specific type of cover you required. In this case, you positively selected the product."
YEH BUT I DIDNT realise that the damn thing was optional! and now looking back and having been in an secured job with savings why would i need it! off to the Ombudsman folks! ggggrrrrrrr0 -

If this response does not tell you to go to FOS,then contact Barclays and tell them what you put above,also if you had sick pay and life insurance too.
If it is the final response,then go to FOS.0 -
Is it my imagination or is the going getting a lot tougher for everyone? I seem to be reading more and more stories of quite obvious grounds for complaint being rejected, letters going missing by the lorry load, and time scales stretched beyond belief!!!! I thought it would be like a well oiled machine by now as they've had enough practise!!!!0

I am very pleased that I have received a cheque this week from FSCS for a claim againt Freedom/Wilmslow Finance.
The FSCS sent me a form in October and I sent the form back on the 4th January 2012 after managing to obtain copies of the agreement and transactions from GE Money.
I received a cheque on Thursday for £1575.00 which I thought was super quick.
I am now waiting for a LLoyds TSB one to come back which I also sent in January.
Its so good after a few years of struggling and being made redundant to have some money that you didnt expect happy happy xx

HI i recently used the template letter on here to send to barclaycard to request the terms and conditions of my account as I knew I had ppi and believe this was missold to me when account was 1st opened , I cancelled the ppi several years back but the account is still in use and they have since got back to me today stating they cannot provide these and will be closing my account! Surely they cannot just go ahead and do this , i have a £2k balance which I cannot just immediately pay back and not the best credit score so its unlikely i will be able to balance transfer to another provider. I have not even made a claim as yet I just wanted to confirm that ppi was placed on my account upon opening. Please advise!!!0

Ring Barclays and ask the reason they have closed this,and where you go with your account from here!.
If you are not happy with the response (Google ceo email)
you will find Rob Diamond,send him an email,it may be worth giving FOS a ring and ask what you can do.0
