Hello everyone
I'm new here, so apologises if this has already been asked or in the wrong section. My husband rang Halifax on 26/01/2012 to claim for mis-sold insurance for his credit card, he basically was made feel he wouldn't get the credit card without the insurance. He received an acknowledgement letter 6 days later, however i was wondering if anyone recently has been made an offer (if eligible) by the halifax within the 8 week time frame? I'd be most grateful for any replies, thank you in advance0 -

I received an offer on a loan within 4 weeks. I received a cheque about 2 weeks after accepting their offer. The whole process took around 6 weeks for me.0 -
i have just received a payout including interest from RBS this also included a claim on a PPI package that i had made a claim on due to redundancy. the claim i made was for two loans that i had PPI on the first one i was told that the PPI would be required for the loan to be granted, this is the one that i made the claim for. the second was that i had not been told any different at the interview on the PPI requirements, this process was so easy it is almost unbelievable, i down loaded the PPI claim form from this site, filled it out, added copies of the loan agreements, posted it and four weeks later i have received a reply that RBS are repaying me and also paying £600 interest. do not use any agencies to make a claim it really is a simple process to do it yourself.
thanks Martin great advice0 -
Having read a few posts on here regarding Halifax ppi claims being
paid out, thought I'd have a go at claiming on our total mortgage protection so I made a phone call about 5 weeks ago gave a few details and they rang back a week later to ask a few questions--
sickness cover, pension benefits and said we were advised to take
the protection when we took out the mortgage.
We had stopped the cover about 3 years ago so was only expecting a couple of grand at best--well yesterday got a letter quoting £3600 return of premiums and £1800 in interest a grand total of £5400 :j all it took was one phone call--didn't even have to fill any forms in--if anyone else has this protection with the Halifax I would implore you to claim it was so easy--I haven't got the cheque yet though.
Would never have done it without reading this fantastic site:money::beer:0 -
Hi,
Thought I'd post in here after receiving 2 lovely letters from Natwest last week.
I hold 2 cc's with them and cancelled the PPI last year after being advised by a lady in one of their call centres that I probably didn't need it. I got around to sending off PPI reclaim letters to them for each card in November and after waiting patiently, I had a response from them. They are paying me back all my payments plus interest plus a small interest of 2% as they were over their target of 12 weeks to resolve my case.
A payout of £1400 is on it's way to me
Now onto the VWFS/Ventura PPI claim _pale_Debt free in

I claimed on 4 loans with the halifax, 2 were successful and it took just under 3 weeks. 1 week to get the acknowledgement, 1 week to get notice that my claim was successful and the cheques came in just a few days. Currently waiting for them to clear.0 -
:rotfl:I just received my letter offering £8335 for mis sold PPI from Natwest Credit Cards. It took much patience and nearly 16 weeks. Thank you MSE. My cheques on the way! For everyone out there..don't give up you have nothing to lose by making your claim. I didn't think mine would get anywhere as I have had my card 10+ years.0
