Nice, congrats on the result!
Has anyone else had texts from RBS? I've not had a peep by SMS, letter only.0 -

Well done - great news! Can you let me know how long it took from sending off the initial letter until you heard about the offer?
I've been waiting around 4 weeks now since getting a letter from Natwest that they received my form - but just wondering if they respond within 12 weeks or if it's longer.

Can someone please have a look at this and let me know what they think? Should I just submit claims to RBS for these loans (although I'm not 100% sure if I had PPI or not) and hope for the best?
Any help & advice would be appreciated,
Thanks x
Sorry no one looked at this for you, give the bank a ring and ask what the interest was on these loans,
This will be quicker than putting a claim in and waiting 8 weeks.0 -
Just wanted to say amassive thankyou for all the help and advice received on this forum, especially to amersall. We had a letter on Saturday to say that nemo were refunding the ppi premium plus interest to the tune of £3249, resetting the loan as if we had never taken out the ppi, which in turn makes our payments £54 a month less. Once again thanks

Well! Who'd have thought it!!!! Certainly not me! I first started thinking about this on 13th January this year. Downloaded the claim form from the link on this site, completed it with account numbers and relevant addresses and merely said that at the time of taking out the credit card, i was in employment with substantial sick pay etc., and sent it off. Having read a lot of the forum posts on here, I have to say I was sceptical. Today, without any further correspondence with MBNA, I received a letter offering me in excess of £3,300!!!!!!! I think the phrase, "Bloody Hell" fits here! Thank you hugely to the site and those subscribers whose simple advice I was able to follow and whose encouragement got this result! I owe you all!!!!!:rotfl::j:j:D0

I wonder if Forum users could help please. Are Lloyds TSB replying to complaints within the 12 week time frame? If they do not reply within the 12 weeks, what can I do? My brother and I receieved acknowledgments on 1 and 5 December respectively but haven't heard anything since. I realise that currently it is only 10 weeks but I was just wondering if others have had similar experiences who contacted Lloyds TSB around the same time as me/us.
Also, could I ask another question please? I read a few months ago about some people receiving £1200 from Lloyds TSB as "a gesture of goodwill". Does anyone know what this is for?
Thanks.
They may take the 12 weeks or longer i am afraid, you may get the final response letter but if they are giving you redress, you may wait a long time to get this money.
Goodwill gestures can be for loan ppi where the bank have no details for this loan or they have limited info, there may also be other reasons for this, otherwise you either get full redress or a rejection.0 -
Hi
Hope one of your experienced forum readers can advise me, am almost at wits end!!
Started ppi claim with nram back in August, had offer of refund etc 30th Dec, read through options and accepted offer, they had form in office around 10th Jan. had lots of phone calls with review team whom each time give me different info, currently they say loan in process of restructure and are waiting for refund to be authorised.........when am I likely to get refund, they already have bank details etc.
Am beginning to feel like I'm being given runaround....would appreciate any thoughts/advice!!!!!0 -
Hi I have claimed successfully against 3 companies. However Nationwide are being stubborn...! I had a loan in 2001 but they do not want to know. The FOS are now investigating? Are Nationwide usually like this of has anyone else successfully claimed against them...???? Thanks0

I phoned barclays and they have said they have sent a letter out regarding rejection, which i havent received as yet! Not a happy bunny at all,as i told them after sending in ombusman letter to them that i had found further paperwork even my ppi opening letter from morgan stanley and closure of the account letter but they said,no its ok we dont need them,we have enough evidence what weve found! It made me think, well im onto a winner, not so! Talk about crooks :-(
When you get this letter from them, post the reasons for rejection they gave and if this is not the final response, then you can write back to them and reject this,it is worth going back to them as the FOS take an age!!.0
