    ...but a question too.

I had Halifax TMPP on my first ever mortgage in 2003. I complained that it was missold as I wasn't told that I could look elsewhere for an alternative policy. I have had a response now and they are refunding me PPI portion of the policy at £609.33 including interest. (I only had the mortgage about 18 months then I sold the place)

My question is though, what about the other parts? Apparently TMPP was made up of mortgage repayment cover (PPI essentially), life cover and critical illness cover. Surely my reasons for being missold apply to all of these, which I naively didn't realise I could shop around for (first mortgage, fresh out of uni, a bit wet behind the ears!) I'm not sure why they have only taken my complaint to refer to the MRC part of the insurance.

My complaint about a Citicard, taken over by Opus, is with the FOS who are trying to find out who is going to refund me on this. I know that another forum user nd20 is in a similar position. FOS have been looking into this for me for nearly 2 months now (it has been with them since Febraury 2011 and they wrote to me in September saying BOS (Citi) would be paying out but they didn't). The FOS have contacted BOS and Lloyds without apparent success, as no-one seems to want to take responsibility. I find it slightly strange as my account with Citi was closed before Opus took them over.

I have only a limited knowledge about who deals with what, but is this something that the FSA would be able to help with? After all they regulate all the banks and must be able to make a decision on whose responsibility it is. Anyone think it would be worth a phone call?

The attitude of the banks doesn't seem to improve.

have you heard anything back from the fos or opus?

If you were mis sold ppi, then FOS will uphold if your creditor said no.

Have you had a rejection letter?,what were the reasons for mis sell and who is the creditor?.

The FOS would take a long time to look at this, maybe a year or more.

    Sorry,just seen your post!.

What were the reasons they gave for rejecting, what "sufficient paperwork" do you have regarding this and was this the final response from them?.
