I have just called HBOS for an update on a credit card ppi claim which I submitted 5th January 2012 and have been advised that my final response was posted out 31st January 2012 and I will be receiving at total of £1124.00. I finally finished paying the balance on the card about 10 months ago so this is now all mine. I am absolutely thrilled and will be using the money wisely. Thankyou for all the posts on this forum which I have read for such a long time but been to scared o the banks to approach them.0

Started the claim September 2011
Received a letter in October granting me £2000 and that I would have the money in 21 days - money never came
Received a letter on Dec 4th 2011 with a recalculation due to my wait...£2200 - said I would receive the money in 21 days
2nd Feb 2012 - STILL WAITING
Have called them every week since the end of Dec 2011 - NOTHING - and STILL WAITING! :mad:0 -

Just out of curiosity how long has anyone else waited for their cheque from HBOS for ppi refund?0

Had my claim with MBNA turned down as I had ticked the box and signed it. Although it was a pre ticked box. I then passed this onto the FOS which upheld it and MBNA are going to make a good will payment at the terms agreed by FOS. They have now had the go ahead letter from the FOS last week. I called them this morning for an update and had a rather unpleasant fella on the line who would not give me any details and said I had to wait for the post.
Does anybody know if they have a set time they need to send the offer to me by?0 -
I cannot believe it! I have just been offered £6,071.00 by Co-operative Bank for missold PPI. Amazing. I absolutely advise anyone who thinks that they have a claim not to use the claims companies out there and follow the advice on this website insteaad. I did and look what I got. All I did was fill the form in and posted if off. Minimal expense and effort. I have a few more claims in so see what happens. Anybody know how long Barclay/Woolwich take to reply? Sent a form off to them before christmas and havent even had a acknowledgement letter.

Today I've rec'd a cheque just shy of £9000
my journey as follows:
November 7th 2011 = Initial complaint over the phone with PPI team
November 12th 2011 = acknowledgement letter
January 12th 2012 = offer rec'd
January 21st 2012 = loan balance reduced online by £2000
January 30th 2012 = cheque issued rec'd today!
I have not emailed them nor have I rang them at any point to chase, I've let them get on with it.
I was very happy with the 12 weeks it took from start to finish! :T
when cashed in Lloyds today they asked me what i was doing with the money!!??? cheeky mo fos :eek:0 -
First off I am one happy little bunny. I have followed the threads in the section very closely and although not directly spoken with some of you a few names like Di, Cappo, amersall and beamerguy stand out - so thank you and thank you for the site!
I have refinanced my natwest loan many times - in fact I dont know how many as each time my credit card maxed they would phone and somehow I would come away with a clean useable credit card and an increased loan!
I found my original paperwork for the original loan back in who knows when - can find date if you are truly interested - anyway 29 November last year I took the decision to send off the form (on this website) and sent it off. On 19 december I received an acknowledgement letter, on this monday 2 February I received my offer letters - I was gobsmacked - there are 5 different calculations - all varying amounts with interest less 20% and I had to send back signed go ahead.
I have just checked online banking and the net amount of 3 of them has gone into my bank :j:j:j:j:j:j. After reading all these posts I assume the interest and others will follow.
It is such a relief and you know I never did get any paperwork each time the loan increased and always seemed to struggle but never really questioned their calculations. (It was only last year thanks to this site I learnt how to calculate interest and APR etc).
SO I am waffling on now - but thanks Martin, this site and some of you who give excellent advice and encouragement. In total I will get back £7k odd and for me this will be a huuge relief and I can chuck most of it back at the existing loan which is still ongoing.

I have jsut been told the exact same thing, was told claim would be settled by citi before 13 jan, heard nothing, now told citi say opus should be paying out?
Just wondered if you had heard anything yet? I spoke to them a number of days ago and they said they were still looking into it, but that I might receive a cheque direct from the bank. Absolutely nothing as yet.0
