You are waiting an Adjudicator, is this because Barclaycard have refused miss selling.

I have a Complaint against MBNA the only one I haven't won YET! but FOS has contacted them and they still say it wasn't miss sold and so the FOS are passing it to an adjudicator and I was wondering if this may now be a lost cause. Fingers crossed it will get sorted soon.

Good luck with MBNA ;), no I don't have a claim with Barclaycard mine is with Central Trust who were the broker for a Firstplus loan we had. We never got a no from Central Trust we got a low offer that is why we had to take it to the FOS. When did you pass your case on to the FOS?
  • lloyds sent me a ppi offer which I recieved in Oct 2011, I have chased this with numerous calls also a letter anyone know of a way to challenge them to pay up?

Hi all. I am still struggling to locate which company my PPI was with. All I have is a bank statement that shows the monthly amount (£20.48) and the reference on the bank statement is NW Mortgage MRP.
I have tried Natwest and Nationwide, I have even contact the bank which the direct debit came out of, but because this account is now closed they cannot say who this company is! Sooooo frustrating!
Does ANYONE recognise or have any thoughts who that company may be - NW Mortgage MRP.
  • Stared Reclaiming on the 26th Nov, with halifax. i have a current loan that has no P.P.I as i was advised that my work benifits would be fine in the case of needing to claim. prior to this loan i had several credit cards and loans with halifax that had P.P.I. i complained to them detailing the inconsitant advice i had reciced as i have not changed employer or had less income over any of the items.
today i noticed just over 1K had been taken off my Credit Card Balance in 3 Transactions. i call to disscuss and the adviser at halifax detailed that i had been refunded to my credit card as it was still active and i would receive 2 cheques for the 2 other loans totaling just over £4.4k within 28 days.

i now await that paymnet however i am hopefull it will come. Thank you all for advice and reading stories has helped me get on with it . £5.5K better off for a few phone calls and 1 Letter

Thanks MSE - ill let you know when i get the other payment.

What were you reclaiming: Credit Cards
Who was the provider: Capital One
How much did you get back: I got £76 and hubby got £24
And then write your brief reclaim tale :

We sent off the questionnaire from this website and the postman has just been and both me and hubby have had an offer of PPI back from Capital One, hubby has got £24 and I've got £76 and that includes interest as well! the credit cards were paid off and the accounts closed in 2009 so we did not expect to get anything back.

    thanks

    Mortgage exit fee next :)

Edit : anyone got any PPI back from Vanquis Credit Card (they call it repayment option plan and refused to pay out in 2007 when I was off sick and then lost my job)

update: the £76 from Capital One never arrived so I phoned them up and they said that the account was partially settled ( £495) so the £76 will be taken off the balance which is fair enough, I understand that but I have now got a copy of my credit report which says "satisfied" and Current £0 so does that mean I can now contact Capital One and make a complaint and request the £76 PPI at the credit report does not say " partially settled" which is what Capital One are saying.

And then write your brief reclaim tale :
After reading through this forum decided to send the standard letter to mbna, egg(barclays), santander & Halifax

Sent all the letters off on Dec 10th 2011, received a letter from mbna on the 21st stating they were processing the complaint, received the settlement letter on the 29th, received a cheque on the 14th of Jan:T

Halifax have received the complaint but still havent heard anything else from them yet.

and so far nothing from santander or egg(barclays)

Would like to thank Martin and everyone who has posted there stories and information on here
  • I was approached by one of those PPI Claim Handler companies who were fishing for information, I gave them some details about a loan I'd taken out over 8 years ago, they thought I may have a case as the PPI was sold as compulsory. I had always thought that I wouldnt have a case because I had in my head that the loan needed to have been taken out within the last 6 years, plus I wasnt sure whether I still had any of the documentation. Anyway, I decided to do some homework myself and found on Martin's site all the information I needed. I didnt bother going through the claims handler in the end as they would have wanted 30% of any refund so I sent Santander my Ombudsman Questionnaire (from Martins website). I posted the letter on a Monday and received a call the next day from Santander to say that the complaint had been upheld and they would pay me back £1661.05 - I then received the money within 2 weeks - unbelievable. Firstly I want to thank the Claims Handling company for highlighting I had a case and a big Thank you to Martin for all the fantastic information thereafter.

    Hi everyone,

sorry if this is a really stupid question but I'm looking at reclaiming from Northern Rock.

I've filled in the payment protection insurance questionnaire as I have account number for the loan and know there was PPI added.

Do I need to send a covering letter with the questionnaire, or do I just send it as it is? I've looked through the forum and can't find anything, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place!

Thank you for your help and I'll report back on what happens (fingers crossed!)
  • i have tried to recover PPI from vanquis and received a letter saying they have listened to the original phone call and that i agreed to it. vanquis is a "last gasp" credit card therefore i fealt compelled to say yes in case i was refused. do i still have a claim? if so what do i do next?
