    Hi,
Capital One rejected my complaint and I also escalated it to the FOS but like you, am not hopeful of a positive outcome! Can you give me an idea how long I can expect to wait for a response from the FOS? I sent the forms off at the end of November and received an acknowledgement letter in the first week of December advising to expect a further response within 3 weeks but have not heard anything further. I know they are inundated at the moment but maybe I should chase them?

I would leave it a little longer, I took my case to the FOS in July 2011 and I am still waiting for my case to be passed to a adjudicator. So be prepared for quite a wait.

Good luck with your case I hope the wait is not to long.;)

How long did your claims process take? No idea when they pay sorry
  • After successfully claiming from Lloyds for my credit card PPI, we have also had a success story on my husbands loan which had been paid off, only took 7 weeks for the claim to be processed, and we are waiting for the payment to go through.
The basis of the claim was that the PPI was taken out at an account review appointment for myself, where my husband wasn't even present, the account manager decided that instead of taking a loan in my name or joint names that a loan should be taken in my husbands name, and the form was filled in by the account manager without my husband being present, (the money was actually transferred to our account before his signature was returned to the bank !!!!!).
We were expecting circa £4k but the total payout if £6661 which was a nice suprise especially after Xmas and New Year !!!
  • Hi, finally got off my backside and used the PPI questionnaire template from MSE last year in October to claim back mis-sold PPI on a loan that had almost crippled us in the 5 years we had it. Three weeks before Christmas we got a letter to offer us the full amount plus interest no questions asked. I sent the acceptance by return of post. Within four days it was in our account!

If you are thinking of doing it, do it NOW!

    Hi,

I have just started my PPI claim with Barclays, I don't have any paperwork and I'm just waiting for them to send me some forms. I have been trying to work out what kind of payment I might recieve if I'm successful but seem to have about 3 or 4 differing amounts. My Loan was for £6000 starting in 2003 and I paid it off it 2007, 7 months early to the tune of £7566 I never got an early resettlement payment and my monthly payments were £187. Does anyone know how much I could be entitled to?

    Many Thanks
    Wendy

If only I had read this website before hand it would have saved me £25K

    My Story

I have had a Visa and Mastercard Barclaycard for many years with fair balances on them

I used one for business expenses and one for private

I never really noticed the PPI until I saw an add and thought nothing ventured ....

18 months after I received offers of £27k and £55k .....WOW!!!

I then got a bill for 25% + VAT from the claims company totalling £25k to be fair the claims company made the fees very clear I was just lazy

Still a substantial amount but it could have been so much more

I have another claim which I have done using this sites forms and await to hear from the FOS in due course
