Any ideas anyone? TIA.
Just got my PPI payment through!!!! It was worth waiting for!
I got through to them on the phone (thanks for those who helped) and they sorted out what was holding it up and I checked today and lo and behold - it's there!

Ok, a couple of good pieces of news for us today but first off I have noticed alot of people are struggling with claims against Capital One I seem to be one of a handful that seemed to be successful albeit for a small amount approx £120 but there was hardly ever a balance on it, but bar one letter saying though I never opted for it when I applied for the card that I then asked for it via a phone call after it was opened which was, how can i put this a load of B******'s!! Anyway after my reply they paid pretty sharpish for the whole lot via cheque so dont be put off and keep pestering them!!
Anyway today as sprung two nice suprises first off a HSBC PPI claim which was upheld in Dec has been paid into my account today for approx £1500 which was quicker than i thought they would manage.
We also got a nice letter from MBNA today stating they would uphold my wifes complaint and will be paying her approx £1000 within the next 28 days via cheque!
I hope these stories and anymore I will hopefully have in the future will encourage others to get their money back also!!! its about time the mis-deeds of the banks for are paid for!!:)'If you ain't living life on the edge you are taking up too much room'

Had a Halifax mortgage for 3.5 years, and was sold a mortgage PPI over the phone when applying. Was told it would help the application.
Was never asked about existing Income protection policies, (which were running already).
Had we needed to claim, we would have been over insured, and only a proportion of the payment made.
Claimed by the Halifax questionnaire in November 2011.
Received final response letter today, upheld!:T
Refund on the way of just under 3K premiums and interest!:j
Egg card is being particularly stubborn..."No No and thrice No"! Anyone had any success with Egg?
I took this card out in 1999, and paid it off in 2006. I'm sure it was a pre-ticked box. I did cancel it somwhere along the way....only for it to be reinstated "free for 6 months" or something by Egg as a "Loyalty " freebie....yes, and then they left it on again until I noticed many months later and had to cancel it again just before I left them!!!0 -
I have finally had a responce back from the FOS re a MBNA Credit Card that I have tried to claim direct. The letter states that MBNA don't accept mis selling and so the case will be delt with by a Member of the FOS team personally and that they will contact me if they hear anything or I should contact them if MBNA contact me directly to settle.
Has anyone heard of this before and what was the outcome? Does it sound like a lost cause?

Just missed a call from the FOS regarding PPI from Capital One (they were waiting on further info about my case when I spoke to them last week), not that hopeful after reading the last couple of pages but I'll call them tomorrow to find out what the latest is...
On another note...
What are the chances of me reclaimimg on a graduate loan from HSBC in 2000? The loan was done face to face and I was definitely told at the time that PPI was compulsory, not sure I even have any documentation relating to it (it'll be in the loft somewhere if I do).0 -
Not been on for a while as had no news. But today have received two cheques, first from Littlewoods that has taken 2 months from start of complaint. Second from BOS from old Sainsbury's loan for £1118 this took again about 2 months from start to finish. :j
