  • Just had a letter from barclaycard, it says they cannot find any policy documents relating to ppi on my credit card so they say they cannot proceed with my claim, i know i paid ppi it is on my statements as card protector or something like that. they say this is the final response but i can go to ombudsman , or they will re open if i can find the original documentation, what do i do now?
  • I have just started claim with them, I rang them and made initial enquiries.

Just received a letter from MBNA saying they are investigating my claim....

    What happens next?
  • I received a letter saying they (barclaycard) are investigating my claim also, and word back in 28days time, this is after they sent an ombusman checklist through to me,phoned them up today and they said they were indeed still investigating claim, heres hoping paintpotter, there investigated and promptly paid! :-)

I have not had a checklist from MBNA, just the "investigating" letter..

Blackhorse have told me over the phone, that they have sent me a questionnaire.
  • Originally claimed back in 2009 for PPI on a Graduate Loan and it got rejected straight away.

Thought I would try my luck again in Oct 2011. Got a reply today after 9 weeks ( they had up to 12 ) givin me full refund of my premiums and some interest giving me a total of £1212.50!!!!

It didnt even have to go to the FOS which I am very happy about. They said they will pay into my nominated account within 4 weeks of me returning their offer letter.

However, they said I have to verify my identity in a branch before they pay out anything. Anyone had any experince of this? Like, can I post my letter off tomorrow and then go into a branch and fill their identity form in and they will place a marker for me centrally on their systems?

Anyone out there debating whether to claim or not, do it, you have nothing to lose!!

this is just too stressfull for me, i cant see point of going to ombudsman if they cant find my agreement/paperwork
  • What i would do is why not print of the ombusman checklist! And send that to them aswell! Ps how long ago is the card? Do you have the account number?

Photo copy a few statements and the letter they sent today and return by recorded mail and Its the waiting game I am afraid!

You are not the only victim of these unscrupulous banks delaying tactic.

Don't be stressed they are winning and hope you will give up , keep going
I have had the same in a couple of claims and in the end FOS. For them I will wait, it is worth it in the end to recoup the money they have fraudulently taken.
