Why confused? It says the cheque will be sent.0 -
Has anyone heard of a company called Sterling? I put a claim in to Lloyds re a mortgage I had with C&G which had mis-sold ppi on. I had an email from them saying Sterling were going to make me an offer??
Thanks0 -
Hi All,
I have currently made a claim with halifax for mis sold insurance on my credit card and I was successful in my attempts. They sent me a cheque for £1100, which I desposited in my bank. But 2 days ago they sent me a statement and on there it showed they have added the £1,100 onto my balance. Previously my balance was £5,000 and now it has gone to £6,100. How can this be? This means they have not paid me anything at all as they have added it onto my balance, not even taken it off.
I am currently in a debt mgt plan as I have a few credit cards, and i pay no interest just a fixed paymenbt each month on how much i can afford.
Any advice would be most welcome, shall i ring them, or write to to them and what shall i say?
Many Thanks in Advance

If you ring them they will explain. I'm not sure why they do it, but with me they put the money into my credit card account, then took it out again and sent me a cheque, all within a few days. Maybe something like this going on? Best to just phone them and ask I think, I've found them to be extremely helpful and cooperative with several different claims I've submitted.0 -

I know I had several loans that I had taken out more than 6 years ago, that had front loaded ppi, that I know was missold. I do not have details at hand but my question would be if I can find out the details, SAR to the relevant companies???? and see what they disclose and send to me, can I make a claim on these loans also (BY myself) as I see some people on this thread are receiving payout on laon accounts from more than 6 years.
Do SAR requests to all,and if you have ppi and were mis sold, then put a claim in.
Look here for reasons for mis sell

you will find all the info you need on the link to make a complaint,if you get stuck, just ask.
Here for SAR letter

Just to let you know,as you are on a dmp they may take the redress towards this, they may not,so give them a ring and ask when you will recieve the refund.0 -

I have no idea what the best method would be to begin enquiring if I have any cases for a PPI claim. I've never asked for PPI and I'm not even exactly sure how to find out if I've been given it.
Any help would be very much appreciated guys and girls as you all seem to be doing so well!
Thanks :-)
Ask Natwest for a copy of your agreement, this will cost you £1.
You may need to SAR (£10) ,if the loans are repaid.

Ppi will be on the agreements.
You could request this over the phone, give it a try first.0 -
Hi There,
Just wondering if anyone can help me suss out whether ive found an agreement number or not....
Ive found a odd piece of paper that my hubby has written in my files that says 2006 Direct Line Loan then a number which says 3numbers/4numbers/9numbers.
Is this an agreement number? If so would I still need to send for a SARS or is there a alternative?
Much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi can anyone help with a question i have rgarding gmac rfc? I had a mortgage with them and i think ppi. I have contacted them and they are sending me a copy of terms and conditions but said ppi claim would have to be with the insurer not them. My mortgage finished in 2007 started in 2002 does anyone know if the insurers gmac rfc used are still operating? Is it worth looking into ppi claim? Thanks

What they dont know about mortgage ppi is not worth knowing.
I am sure it will be the insurer given the year, but best to let those on the link i gave advise you better.0 -
Hi
I have just this moment opened a letter from Capital One. This letter reads that they are willing to make an OFFER of redress. The total amount they are offering me is £2916.54"which is inclusive of all the premiums charged, the associated interest on the premiums and a further 8% per annum simple on the premiums." Now feel free to call me stupid, but what does that mean? Is it an offer that covers everything I paid or is it part of it? I have to write back to accept so please please someone tell me if it is fair and right.
