    Hi All,

After reading all the sucess stories on this site I decided to to try and claim back the ppi on my HSBC loan that I took out in 2005.
I've just recieved a offer letter, however they need me to restructure the loan before they will refund any money. I am willing to do this however I'm not in employment now, due to the fact that I didn't return to work after I had my daughter 2 years ago.
Does anyone know if this will affect the banks decision to restructure the loan?

    Thanks in advance.

    Louise:confused:

Hi There first of all Well Done. It should not affect the banks decision because they have a charter called "Treating Customers Fairly" so as long as you have kept up payments it should not be a problem.

    Hi all,
I finally got around to claiming back the PPI on my Alliance and Liecester loan from 2 years ago.
Within 3 weeks of me sending off the first letter (template from here!) I've just received a letter offering £326 - a repayment of all the payments made so far, plus interest at 8%.
PPI has been cancelled on my loan and the amounts reduced for the remainder of the period.

    RESULT!
    Many thanks Martin et al!

    Well done Gromit:j

Quick update on my HFC PPI reclaim.

I received a letter from HFC bank to settle my claim for mis-sold PPI. I had the figure of £400 or there about, the letter breaks it down as follows HFC are paying me £1,419.74 plus 8% stat interest £765.48 making a grand total of £2185.22 :j . I would have been happy with the £400 ;) , so now I can clear all of my overdrafts, and start to concentrate on the credit cards.

Once again massive thanks to Di3004, maxdp & pinknico. I couldn't have done it wihout your help. THANK YOU ALL

    Hi Sparky

Oh what a result well done:j :j I am so pleased for you that is really good news. Paying off debts is good and sensible but do not forget to have some fun as well.:D
