    Hi all,
I finally got around to claiming back the PPI on my Alliance and Liecester loan from 2 years ago.
Within 3 weeks of me sending off the first letter (template from here!) I've just received a letter offering £326 - a repayment of all the payments made so far, plus interest at 8%.
PPI has been cancelled on my loan and the amounts reduced for the remainder of the period.

    RESULT!
    Many thanks Martin et al!

Well done to you :T  :T , great news for you.:T

    Well done Mrss30:T :T

Typically how long do HSBC make you wait? My claim is 6 weeks old today and been sent the usual looking into your claim etc......

Do they use up the full term (8 weeks).

    Hi RyanGP
I sent first letter on the 1st of Jan, and just got the offer letter today, so they did take the whole 8 weeks.

Quick update on my HFC PPI reclaim.

I received a letter from HFC bank to settle my claim for mis-sold PPI. I had the figure of £400 or there about, the letter breaks it down as follows HFC are paying me £1,419.74 plus 8% stat interest £765.48 making a grand total of £2185.22 :j . I would have been happy with the £400 ;) , so now I can clear all of my overdrafts, and start to concentrate on the credit cards.

Once again massive thanks to Di3004, maxdp & pinknico. I couldn't have done it wihout your help. THANK YOU ALL

I spoke to a company Claims Made Simple inJune 2008 with reference to claiming back mis sold PPI on two MBNA credit cards I have.I have held these cards since 2004 and never remember asking for insurance on these cards mainly because I am diabetic andknow they would never pay out on a claim.I filled in forms for Claims Made Simple and sent them of at the end of June 2008.I had heard nothing further from them until December when I received a lettr informing me that MBNA had refused my claim and they were referring my claims to the financial ombudsman. At the beginning of February I received word from Claims Made Simple to say that the financial ombudsmans office had told them it would be a further two months until they could ajudicate on this. The question I would like answered is does it normally take this amount of time.

    Hi there
Good luck with this and generally they have 8 weeks to resolve this in full.
So I suppose they would maybe call this 2 months.;)
Please keep us posted and fingers crossed.
