    Hi everyone,

came home from work today to find a letter from Lloyds TSB on the doormat. My complaint has been accepted :j and the following will be done:
    • calculate a full refund of all PPI premiums that have been paid
    • add interest charged on the premiums during the terms of the loan
    • remove any outstanding payments and interest remaining on the PPI loan
    • to give you the choice of reducing your monthly repayments (assuming you wish to accept the offer)
Lloyds have agreed to pay £1527.60 plus interest accrued (payment will be made on my loan account):T

I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. All it took was the first template letter. Thank you Martin and everyone else who helped to clear a couple of things before I send the letter off. I am forever grateful!

    Thanks
    xxxx

  • I downloaded the first template letter for PPI reclaims from this website.
We had 2 Egg Credit Card Accounts opened at the end of December 2004, PPI was added without our consent.
I sent the letter 28th December 2008 and have just received over £600 in settlement.
    Thanks Martin. :T

I've just had success in claiming PPI back from EGG!

I took out a loan back in 2003 over the phone and didn't realise that PPI was part of it so after reading the site I decided to check my loan and found it was there!

I sent my letter only a few weeks ago and today I got a reply: "After carrying out a comprehensive review of your complaint I [Customer Advisor] have arranged a full refund of all premiums charged to your account, together with the associated interest charges. The total amount concerned is £2303.57p..."

This is fantastic and has reduced my outstanding balance by half and reduced the monthly payments by £70 meaning I can pay it off even quicker!

I also reclaimed £2800 in bank charges from HSBC back in 2007 before the case went to court and the hold was put on all reclaims so happy days.

Thanks Martin and all associated with MSE, I encourage everyone to check their loans and bank accounts asap!
    :T:Twonderfull great stuff :T:T:j:j:money:

    Hi All,

After reading all the sucess stories on this site I decided to to try and claim back the ppi on my HSBC loan that I took out in 2005.
I've just recieved a offer letter, however they need me to restructure the loan before they will refund any money. I am willing to do this however I'm not in employment now, due to the fact that I didn't return to work after I had my daughter 2 years ago.
Does anyone know if this will affect the banks decision to restructure the loan?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi there Louise and Well done.:T  :T .

I have only been in the position on settled loan/ppi but to what I know of some banks tend to restructure if cancelling PPI to a new loan without the PPI.
Hopefully someone who have been in this actual postion will post as well, but great news anyway, well done. :T

:j:jwell done :j:j:jthat should not affect the decision as they will just restructure the loan and put it back to the position you were in before ppi . i dont see how they can not do this for you. phone them up and you will know for definite.

    Hi all,
I finally got around to claiming back the PPI on my Alliance and Liecester loan from 2 years ago.
Within 3 weeks of me sending off the first letter (template from here!) I've just received a letter offering £326 - a repayment of all the payments made so far, plus interest at 8%.
PPI has been cancelled on my loan and the amounts reduced for the remainder of the period.

    RESULT!
    Many thanks Martin et al!
