  • Totally agree with Adypearson - I have just heard I am to receive about £5000!!!! Unbelievable but very welcome and worth the little effort it took to complete the form downloaded from this website.
It did take 10-12 weeks to receive the offer and unsure when it will be paid into my account but nonetheless, I am over the moon and looking forward to a Happier Xmas and New Year.

Thank you Martin Lewis for encouraging us to claim - well worth it!

Hi Ssmith - did you hear anything initally after submitting form or was the offer the first acknowledgement you had from them. I have submitted a form to Natwest and wondered how long it would take to hear from them - good or bad.

hi all first post so be gentle, made my initial claim on the 12/07/11 got a final offer from halifax which was the only offer in full £1183.38 plus 8% intrest on 5/10/11 which i was very happy with, this letter went on to claim i would recieve a cheque for the full amount within 30 days and yes you guessed it i'm still waiting.rang them on friday 9th december and they said the cheque was issued on the 7th of december and sent to the ceo for distribution. realy angry now at being messed about, can i refuse to accept the cheque and get the ombudsman involved and claim compensation from them with intrest from the date i accepted their offer for withholding my money.if so how much longer will the claim take.
thanks in advance for any replies.
    bryan.
If you get the FOS involved, this will take much longer!,wait for the cheque from Halifax, dont refuse this as if it goes to FOS the offer could be withdrawn, you wont have much longer to wait,i am sure.
  • i just had my second success of a ppi reclaim today :-) Barclaycard agreed to uphold my claim, as they cannot trace my original application (does that mean they cannot prove i signed a Credit agreement?!?) any old how, got my letter back today with my offer of £8269. Very happy, old jalopy can now go to my daughter (although i love old jalopy shes never let me down) and i may treat myself to a little 2nd hand sporty number hummm well not gonna spend it till it's in my bank - moral of the boast is keep going chaps it really is worth the wait - good luck the rest of you i really do well and truly hope you all have the same sucess as me xxx

Now completely debt free, but it was a double edged sword :(

Can anyone Advise?! EGG CREDIT CARD
I called Barclaycard about my egg account, and they have no details on me whatsoever, and say because the account is not active and I dont owe money on the egg card, when they took over from Egg, they didnt recieve my information. Egg wont take calls, i have no details on my account except that I know I had a card with them. I dont know what else to do to get my CC details?!? Barclays said write a letter to HQ, but... what are they going to do? I said if they dont have my details there on the phone, why would HQ have them? Im kinda stuck, and have to start trawling through the 1200 pages of this thread to see if anyone else has come up with this problem! Any advise very much appreciated!!

EDIT Just realised im not suppose to ask questions here, will repost in the other thread but any advise is still appreciated!
Send EGG request for all data they hold on you, this will cost £10,you may get info showing you paid ppi.
Just to let you know, your agreement may not show ppi but this may have been added when you activated the card.

    Hi All,

Just got £1950 back from a Santander loan, £1930 back from an MBNA credit card, and £871 back from a BOS credit card, and I still have 7 other claims outstanding..............

No delays from the providers, sent the letters, all were acknowledged within the two week period and the MBNA and Santander settled and paid up within three weeks..........

No claims company or anything just the templates from this site and some first class stamps. I now have two colleagues looking at their own situation and they are going to make claims as well.

    :T:j:money::j:T

  • Hi, first post!
I have had a credit card for approx 15 years and have been paying PPI for sometime, possibly since day one. In my ignorance I paid the PPI as part of my monthly bill not knowing anything different. I complained 4 months ago stating I was mis sold the insurance as I wasn't even told about it, only that it appeared on my statement every month.
I have been fortunate to have received an offer from the bank/credit card issuer "as a gesture of goodwill and without any admission of liability" but they state this offer was based on "refund of premiums paid between 07 August 2001 and 07 November 2011".

This credit card had been in existance long before 07 August 2001. Can anyone please dvise if I should count my blessings and accept the offer given OR fight for the possibility of a larger refund.

Sorry if this appears greedy but I don't want the Bank to get "another" one over me!!

    Thanks in anticipation! TBR50
