Can you please tell me how long it took m & s to let you know your claim ha been upheld? I have also sent in a claim for an old closed account. I got my acknowledgement letter at start of November?

Hi. We put in claim approx 15th September,so they have taken almost the whole 16 weeks that they were allowed. Hope that helps.

Hi just an update, on my second and final (unless I can find anymore !! lol) PPI reclaim.

    Firstplus won £6k

Tesco - remembered I had loan in 2004 and paid it off early in 2005, had no paperwork whatsoever couldnt even remember if we had PPI on the loan !. 4/10/11 Sent them a letter giving my and my hubby's full names, date of birth and address, said i thought that had missold due to front loading, not explain pre-existing medical conditions etc etc.
Today received letter with offer of just over £1k !!! :j what a result.
My advice is to try it no matter how little details you have, it was definately worth 10 minutes typing a letter, an envelope and 2nd class stamp !!:):):money:

Can any one point me in the right direction? sent off a claim to blackhorse with copy of original agreement and claim form got a letter back asking for more info as they cant find an agreement for me:mad: this as happened twice is there anything else i should be sending thought this should be ample:(

Thia happened to my husband as well. We send of a request for information and they sent back a letter stating that they were unable to find any records for him. They were trying to fob him off I think.
I am going to be trying again .... determined to get him some money back!

Have you had any further luck?

OH received a letter offering him £1057 and when he checked his CC the money had already been paid in. :)
Aqua card, complaint to Aqua not FSA. Time between letter and cheque about 10 weeks.

Sorry meant to say 12 wks not 16, though i would imagine your own calculations would have realised my mistake. From August they had 12 weeks to resolve, and as I stated it was about 1 week before the 12. (sorry had a blonde moment).
Im just hoping that a miracle happens and they pay out before christmas. Not likely I know but no harm in hoping.

I rang LTSB up in September asking them to look at all my loans I've ever had..... Got 2 letters a couple of weeks ago, one of them was regarding 3 loans with a refund amount of £2900 and the other was regarding a loan where I claimed on the ppi and because the amount off ppi I paid was less than the amount I received when I claimed, then I won't be getting anything. The refund letter says that it will be paid into my bank account then shows the sort code and account number. I currently have a new loan with them that has just been took out. I hope they do pay into my account and not pay it off my current loan, it's a totally separate new loan and when I rang them they said that if it says in the letter that it's going into you account then it is.... I've saw a few post from people who are wondering the same as me.... But surely the banks would be loosing more money if they decrease their customers current loans??? My letter said that the interest will be paid until Dec 14th so I'm hoping to get my cash then but ain't holding my breath, they told me to ring back if I hadn't received it by 14th.... Funny how the easiest part of the claim takes the longest....
  • I would like to say a very big thank you to moneyboomerang!

In August of this year I saw an advert on TV from moneyboomerang about reclaiming miss sold PPI. So I decided to try and claim on a loan I had from Lloyd's TSB in 2003 and 4 months later to my great surprise, moneyboomerang managed to get me £6,800 back! Yes I had to give them 25% + VAT on the payout but I am more than happy with the outcome as I am now able to pay for a college course that I have been wanting to do for some time now.

Once again, thank you moneyboomerang for your professional and friendly service. I would definitely recommend!
