  • 11 weeks passed this week and i got my letter from LloydsTsb today, they are upholding my 2 loans form 2000 & 2005 that I had claimed on. total of £5,000 due back, It states that they will pay as a matter of urgency into my account -Interest has been paid until Dec 27th so hoping it will be in my account in a few weeks.

So far ive done quite well

    2 x LloydsTsb loans £4k
    1 x Llloyds CC - £3.5k
    1 x MBNA CC - £14k
    2 x MBNA Loans - £4k

Just had letter back fro tax man after contacting them as need to pay 20% on all that 8% interest i got back, Pain really but they spread it over the year and take form wages, so all good.

Just shows though you can claim back longer than 6 years, 1 if my MBNA & Lloyds loans were back to 2000, and all i had was the last 4 digits of the reference and nothing else.

Thanks for all the help on this forum, ive no more to claim on now, but without reading all the advice from back in May when i first submitted my claim I wouldn’t of even known what to do.

Good luck to you all and a happy Xmas.
  • Santander

Its now four months since my telephone complaint.

Initially I was told I'd get a letter within 6 weeks, this lapsed so I called again. "It's on its way Madam" the man said. Okey dokey, I thought and gave it another two weeks. Still no letter so followed another phone call. This time I was told by a nervous sounding 12 year old that the "letters" and "cheques" had been sent out to two of my previous addresses. After a little more telephone torture the boy told me that the cheques amounted to £2889.00 and he would have them re issued. "Good lad" I said and whooped about my daily duties. Two weeks later the happiness evaporating out of my life as each day I checked my doormat on return from the labour camp I called them again. This time to be tried by a call centre ninja trying to blame me for not only not recieving my cheque but every ringmark on her desk. I was required to submit proof of my address via fax as the concept of e mail has skipped Santander (too easy) and short of giving DNA samples this would resolve everything. Adrian Mole it appears should never have promised to have the cheque reissued and would be dealt with!!! OMG, the mind boggles. Off I went to the library for faxing and back again thinking surely this is it. I had asked for confirmation (fool) and did not recieve it of course but not giving up hope I waited. And waited. Over a period of 4 weeks I have contacted the black hole of Santander 7 times and been cut off twice. On one occasion I was put on hold for 35 minutes which resulted in me ending the call. Today, after going over my situation for the n'th time, once again "someone will call you back within 48 hours" I was told. So good luck to any others and if you have any successes I'd love to know how you did it!

The 10 weeks from receiving FOS letter saying Citi (Opus) would settle the complaint by today. Tried ringing Opus but they wouldn't talk to me about it as I had sent it to the FOS; they then said it was Citi not them. Rang the FOS today and they said they will email BOS to chase. If I haven't heard anything by the end of the year contact them again. It really is a joke. Do the FOS have no clought at all? The banks just seem to act they wish with very little redress if they don't do what they say they will.
Any contact details for BOS welcome.
  • Hi my parents have received a check from Lyods TSB of arounf £10,000 for ppi and interest charges etc.

Should they accept it? Or should they reject it, just in case they may get more??

I doubt they'd get more, usually the figures are correct to what you are owed.

  • we are now 11 weeks and 4 days in to our claim we rang lloyds on monday for an update they were very nice and gave us some figures over the phone and that it was collated up to 27th december.
the numbers are good so no complaints there but they told us that letters were being sent out to confirm on monday today is friday and still no confimation letter .the twelve weeks are up next tuesday.any thoughts please.we thought they were going to be truthful with us but it seems different.
  • Help!!!!!

Rang Lloyds again today for what appears to be about the 100th time!!

Apparently I'm now on their priority list, and will hear from them in the next two months, despite having received an offer letter for over £5k in November, telling me I'm being paid as a matter of priority! I've complained to LTSB main number and been refunded £30 for my phone calls and stress levels!!

Can anyone tell me, a - what to do know, and b - does the money get paid direct into my current account if my loan hasn't been fully paid off?

hi can anyone answer this question (fos cant) had loan brokered by central capital & £10250 added for ppi. 6 months into loan swift rang and said our payments were very high if we reloaned better intrest rate payments would be less .now the problem central have upheld our complaint and say they are waiting for info to restructure the loan as the loan is payed off can swift claim the money for new loan .sorry if in wrong place
Did you take ppi on the Swift loan too?,as they may be doing a refund on both and need the Swift loan figures to reset.

If you did not have ppi on the Swift loan, then they need the rebate figure of the CP loan that Swift gave to them out of your Swift loan, this will reduce your redress by this rebate of ppi amount.

with regards to above can anyone help.
Q1/ if rewarded ppi refund on a loan that is closed with lloyds tsb can they use that money to pay off debt on lloyds c/c or overdraft on current account.

Q2/ if rewarded ppi refund on a credit card that is in arrears can they use the whole amount awarded including any interest added towards the debt on the credit card.

    thanks for any help.
If you owe them a debt, they can use the redress to reduce that debt and give you any surplus, you need to contact the bank and ask if they reduce the debt, can you have the 8% paid to you.
The same applies to the cc.

Some have had arrears and have been given the whole redress back, the only way you will know is to ring the bank and ask.
