Halifax update for any in the September acceptance gang.

Called yesterday as advised on various issues and finally some movement on my old personal loans. I have letters in the post apparently but was given figures over the phone. Payment will be made within 30 days after I accept the offer.

There is still one credit card that I am waiting on but so far:

£11.5k for mortgage - will be credited by 15th Dec
    £8k for loans and CCs

I started my PPi journey off my own back but this site has been a good source of keeping up to date and asking the odd question so thanks to all.
  • hi can anyone answer this question (fos cant) had loan brokered by central capital & £10250 added for ppi. 6 months into loan swift rang and said our payments were very high if we reloaned better intrest rate payments would be less .now the problem central have upheld our complaint and say they are waiting for info to restructure the loan as the loan is payed off can swift claim the money for new loan .sorry if in wrong place

  • Still in tears..of joy!
    • What were you reclaiming: Credit Card
    • Who was the provider: MBNA
    • How much did you get back: £4166.85
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: After one letter.
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale
    • Followed MSE advise, sent i £1 to MBNA for my credit card agreement. They sent me a copy back, showing I had not ticked the box requesting PPI. Sent in my questionnaire (available on this website) on 23/11/2011.
    • Received my offer letter today 07/12/2011: £4166.85. My fiance did the same as me and received £1600 ( cheque arrived within a few days of the offer letter).
    • Don't be afraid to give it a go guys, they can only say no... £4000 will change my life.

  • recieved my cheque on saturday, nice and crisp. payed in monday, into my halifax account. doesnt clear til tomorrow which is a pain, as im sitting on my hands until then as i need to pay the garage that the cars at!
  • Just had two letters from my bank regarding my two loans and have been awarded £1,115 for both combined - great news!
The letter says that the bank will Direct debit the money to my account but I was just wondering if anyone has any experience as to how long it takes for them to pay it to my account? Any insights would be grateful.
    Thank you
