Hi
If anyone is doubting following through, then read my story..
I never actually had a issue with PPI but i starting reeding this forum and decided to chance my arm..
WOW am I glad I did..
1- I wrote to RBS in July about one loan and got an offer relating to 4 loans as the one i complained about formed part of a chain [i didn't even remember]..
offered the following:
£5,662
£3,077
£735
£1,497
2 - sent email to cep of RBS saying i had no response to my CC complaint [even though i never actually complained to date but wanted a quick reply]. Got an offer for:
£2,398
3 - Sent letter to CEO of MBNA over 3 CC's. Got full reply within 2 weeks and i have been offered a refund for 1 and declined for 2. I have sent my refused 2, to FOS as I'm sure i may win with them involved.
£1,998
4 - Sent email to CEO or Sainsburys Bank, Creation finance, Barclaycard, Clysdedale & Santander and has response from all bar clysdedale saying they will personally investigate..
SO I HAVE HAD BACK ALMOST £17,000 ALREADY AND STILL HAVE POTENTIAL OF FURTHER 9 CLAIMS..
ALL I CAN SAY IS CLAIM CLAIM CLAIM CLAIM0 -
Hi - Any help here would be much appreciated. I am not great at checking bank statements and have just noticed last week that I am paying £9.95 to halifax insurance each month from my bank account. I have phoned them up about this and they say it is a PPI that i have been paying since august 2005!!!!! - i have no idea what this is for - what should i do now? Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi June25, Claim it back, Barclays did the same on my current account dating back to 1997 and I started the claim process. It's the same as PPI on loans and credit cards but hidden. Some people on the forum have been successful claiming this type of PPI.:)0 -
Today I have been informed MBNA will be refunding £1200 to me. :j
I initially contacted them in August and they refused my complaint saying I ticked the box, I emailed them to reconsider as I had a pre exsisting medical condition and they refused again, but said if I proved I had a pre exsisting medical condition the will reconsider. I promptly went to my DRs got a copy of my notes and emailed the CEO.....7 days later and UPHELD!!!!:j
Today I also found out I will be refunded £1509 from Barclays for PPI on a £2000 loan in 1998 (the PPI was £485 but 8% interest boosted payment).
I would like to thank Di3004 and Beamerguy for their help on the two emails I sent MBNA:beer:
DON'T GIVE UP THE FIGHT;)Mortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!
MFW 2015 £100 /£1000
Watch this space, my MF end date will tumble!!0 -
Success on recliaming PPI from Santander
Used Template from this site
Sent by recorded post on 8th Nov
Had Telephone call from Santander 9th Nov stating they were upholding claim
Comfirmation Letter of above recieved 15th Nov
Redress letter recieved today the 29th of Nov, total to be repaid £6833.94
They say to allow two weeks for repayment, yeahhhy
If it comes before christmas great, if not it will ease the January blues, as it will help reduce our out goings for next year.
I claimed on current loan and those payments are now reduced, but they even included redress for the loan that preceeded this,
Was very skeptical about reclaiming, but pressure from my husband and encouragement from reading the forums on this site really convinced me, Thank you all so much.
Both loans had PPI loaded up front (think i describe that right) the second was meant to be in both mine and my husbands names and had letter stating this, but when policy arrived was in husbands name only, the first had PPI added for only the first three years of a five year loan.
Good luck to all those waiting and to those yet to claim x0 -

Hi,
Just thought I'd let you know how long it took to get my cheques from Firstplus.
I sent my acceptance form to them which they said they had received and logged on 28th October - on Friday 25th November to my complete amazement my cheques had arrived!!!! I thought that it would be well after xmas going by the wait other people have had off them.
I know some people on here have been waiting weeks and weeks.
However I had missed a payment so owed them money maybe this is why I got them so quickly so that they could have the money I owed them - still very nice in time for xmas and very pleased £8,500 better off.:j:j:beer:
Great to see another win against FIRSTPLUS :beer:0 -

Thanks in advance
Hi, no I didn't get asked to take ID in at any point, there was a leaflet in with the offer letter about ID but no request for me to produce any0 -

Have you actually recieved the monies yet ?
Just curious as i havent had mine yet .0 -
Not at all!....we applied early October and had a reply on 14th October saying they would aim to settle within 30 days (working days). As that time is now up they tell us it is at payment stage and with manager because the refund is a higher amount (no idea what this means in terms of money).
Our car loan was 5k and our personal 4.5 k - so you're looking at more than us! Good luck!
Could you let me know when you have yor settlement then ill know the timescale .
Thanks huni x0
