PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi All,
Of the 22 ppi claims in total that I'm claiming for family, I've had my first result!
Natwest have offered my lovely Mum 6.5k for mis-sold ppi.
To say I'm over the moon is an understatement! Had a few rejections but still confident about a few others.

Hi, can forum users help me please? I recently received a printout from Halifax listing all loans, credit cards, etc. that I'd had with them (both open and closed). One of the transactions is for (Total Mortgage Protection Network) and has a reference number commencing TMP.
Could you please advise me if this looks like Halifax Total Mortgage Protection? If so, could you please advise me where I would get a copy of the policy or at least details of when I opened/closed the account and monthly premium (it ended in 2005)? I did have a previous mortgage with Halifax from 1992 to 2005 (this is also listed on the printout).
Also, assuming that it is for TMP, where do I send a claim for a missold policy?
I'd appreciate any advice from people who have had these policies running.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Hi,
Can anyone help me with a claim I have with NatWest. I had two credit cards with them dating back to the 90s and paid off in 2005. I found two statements from 1998 clearly showing that I had pain PPI on both cards. As I was successful in getting back premiums from a loan with them, as I would never had ned PPI due to being covered by my employers, I put in a claim for the cards. This was in April 2009. They are now saying that they can only make calculations based on the statements I have provided. I told them that I do not have any more statements but it would be highly unlikely that I would have only paid premiums for one month throughout the lifetime of the cards. I am now waiting for the next reply.
Do you think that I stand any chance of getting redress based on what I would have paid or are they likely only to give me what they can calculate from the two statements?
Any advice greatfully received.0 -

They can't do this. There's no right of set off against any other debt in the group, especially one that is sold. They can only set off again the same account if it is still open with them.
In any case, the interest they are paying has to be paid to you as that is for using YOUR money. They can only set off the PPI and interest charged on it.0 -
Any and all help appreciated

THanks Micky4921 that's the info I was looking for
On my previous post I mentioned that I don't have original details and when I tel the company they said they were 90% certain I didn't have ppi ??
Now I will ask for copies of the original documents!
Wonder will they still have them if the loan was paid off in 1999?
Thanks
If the banks no longer have paper records am I wasting my time?0
