I've made the complaint over the phone to lloyds tsb for a loan 10 years ago.Do u think is enough or I should fill the form.
This is plenty... If you need to fill in any forms, LloydTSB will send them to you!! Though you'll be lucky if they do what they say... if they say 5 days, expect that to mean 5 weeks.

ALSO i HAD A 2ND LOAN WITH LLOYDS unprotected . Can I claim anything on that?
No! Its unprotected so there is nothing to claim. You borrowed money at a specific rate and repayment amount. Straight forward.

What about charges on my accounT 7.50 EVERY MONTH .
Again, this is a fee you pay for the accouunt. For benefits such as mobile phone protection, airport lounge facilities, sentinal card protection, AA auto cover

Just sent an email to the CEO on 27th Oct.

If you can PM me the address i'd like to email as well.

They've half paid my claim and insist they've paid all of it as their system is not wrong. But i've got statements for the months they haven't paid. It's not much, a few hundred but still counts.
  • After consulting Martins site my wife and I submitted three claims. The first was a telephone call to MBNA who after a short call accepted liability and handled our claim swiftly and with no fuss, sent us a cheque for just under £3000. We then submitted two further claims to Lloyds using the template Ombudsman form downloaded from the site. On the larger claim, within a few weeks we received a letter from them stating that PPI was not attached to the loan. My response was to download Martins template requesting them to supply me with the original documents. Three weeks passed when we received a telephone call from Lloyds requesting further details. We have just received two letters from them accepting liability and we have been awarded over £17000. It does pay to persevere with these claims, we have been lucky with regard to the timescale involved as you do read about the problems that many people experience with these claims. We are most indebted to Martin and his website for guiding us through this all and we are pleased that we did it ourselves and that we did not use any of the many financial companies advertising their services in the press

THanks Micky4921 that's the info I was looking for :)

On my previous post I mentioned that I don't have original details and when I tel the company they said they were 90% certain I didn't have ppi ??
Now I will ask for copies of the original documents!

Wonder will they still have them if the loan was paid off in 1999?
    Thanks
  • Well have finally been paid out by Halifax, so my total success were

    A and L joint loan £2021
    Britannia credit card £750
    Halifax credit card £1100
    Husbands halifax CC £950

Didn't have big balances on my credit cards. 2K at most over last 6 years, in the old days would clear each month.

I am so pleased have already booked my Florida flights and I am in a position to pay off the majority of my debts

Thanks to Di who gave me initial advice on claiming back what the banks owed me.

We have to date been paid back £11,500 in PPI claims. Really happy - cheques totalling nearly £4k arrived yesterday. Many thanks MSE - I would never have known about how to do this if you'd not pointed me in the right direction.

If not his name is ian odoherty and he is @bankofamerica.com and there is a dot between the ian and the odoherty. Hope this makes sense.
  • Morning all
Well my PPI reclaiming road is nearly done and dusted. Without this forum I would not now be nearly £23000 better off!
Today I have checked my bank account and can see that Barclaycard paid just over £11 000 into my account.
I also successfully claimed £9800 from M&S for a couple of old loans and a chargecard. A further £1800 was paid by Barclays Bank for 3 old loans back to 1999, 2001 & 2002.
From reading all the posts regarding PPI reclaiming on here it seems everyone has different dealings with all the Banks and credit card companys, some good and some very bad indeed.
In my case M&S were by far the best to deal with. They kept to their time scales and kept me informed. I had to call them a couple of times and they answered their phone straight away, were always helpful and when they said they would call back they did, within 15 minutes.
I have heard some horror stories regarding Barclaycard, but in fairness to them they too have kept to their timescales. I returned my acceptance to them on 26 October 2011 by recorded delivery, and whilst they did not give me a timescale for when payment would be made, I was willing to allow the 40 days. As payment was made into my account yesterday, it means I had payment within 20 working days.
Unfortunately, Barclays Bank were shocking to deal with. They did not keep to their timescales, they take ages to answer their phones and they keep you hanging on for long periods of time. They also lose mail that is sent to them by recorded delivery. They are disorganised and will tell you anything to get you off the phone! The contents of my first e-mail to Bob Diamond was completely ignored and I had a "standard" reply within two days. I therefore followed this up with a recorded delivery letter to him enclosing all the paperwork that had already been sent to Leicester by recorded delivery telling him that I wanted it passed to someone who would take the time to read my complaint and not insult my intelligence. This was sent last Monday, 21 November 2011, and yesterday I was paid my PPI in full into my bank account.
So everyone - don't give up. All of you who are waiting on Barclays - bombard Mr Diamond, as it seems this is he only way to get this lot moving.
Thanks again for all your posts which have made me laugh :rotfl:but also made feel sad :( for some of you.
  • After receiving a rejection letter form Black Horse earlier this week i was not hopeful regarding the outcome of my other 5 claims. But have received a letter from RBS this morning with an offer of £2469.50. Yes...Go me, kerching! Has now given me more hope for the others and will be challenging Black Horse today.

    :T:j:j:T

Thanks to everyone on here with all the advice, i had only written a short letter, had no t&c's etc so it really was just a shot in the dark but shows how easy it can be.
