PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Fair few recently have paid interest 4-6 weeks ahead, because of the time delays, not sure if all FOS or not, never looked that closely tbh.
None of mine have .... as my claims were between £200 - £600 (only on credit cards) I didn't bother asking for more interest because its a few pounds to under £20 on most.
Also, we accept the offer in the letter and they then take weeks to pay us. But they tell us this in the offer letter. We shouldn't then want extra interest if they're within their timescale. If they're out of it, most will pay the extra interest.0 -

Well done you!!! Its such a nice feeling when you get the letter but soooo much better when it hits the account; all I keep doing is looking at mine and reading the figures! Wohooo!0 -
Yeh, I've spoken to them myselves earlier in the process, and was told something similar . . . I think we're just going to have to wait it out I'm afraid - I certainly don't want to delay things even further, I will continue to call - there's no harm in that, they have always been more than polite with me on the phone. . . I understand they are just giving as much information as they are allowed to - I just hope it's here before Christmas as it would make things so much easier! Good Luck
Just to update you (I said I would) I received my refund letter yesterday with the monies in my account today!!!!!!!! Hope all is going well and you get everything you wish for...x0 -
Well, I have been a long time lurker, but I thought that I should share my success with you, as this forum gave me in the inspiration to claim.
Nearly 25 years ago, whilst I was a student, I took out a Barclaycard and was automatically given PPI - there was no option to not have it at the time...
In May of this year I telephoned Barclaycard to instigate a PPI miss-selling complaint.
I have won my complaint, and as they don't have the records for more than 6 years they have calculated my amount based on the last 6 years.
Refund of PPI payments: £6,125.12
Refund of interest charged on PPI premiums: £44,820.36
8% simple interest per annum: £12,036.69
Total Refund Payable: £62,982.17
I posted the acceptance letter immediately and they received it on 8th September - I just have to wait for the money now :-)
I have also won agains Halifax One, but don't know the amount that they will repay me yet.
Can't quite beat that number but still received £49,290.10 yesterday from my Barclaycard PPI.......wohoooo!0 -
