  • Hello,

Wonder if anyone can help me,

I paid approx £68 ppi on a loan (Total monthly payments £284) for 5.5 years. In august LLoyds wrote to me and said they owed me approx £3500 back plus £900 quid interest. This was paid early September and as far as i knew this was all settled.

Yesterday I received a letter saying that they have not settled the amount and I am due approx £7700!!! All the details on the letter are correct my name address, account number, dates of previous letters etc so it looks like its mine

I've tried calling them on their 0845 number to clarify this information but i just sit in a queue for ever and cant speak to anyone.

Does anyone know an alternative number for Lloyds PPI claims and also if this clculation is correct.

I will be having a very merry christmas if this is correct!!!

Yes, but is this money really yours if you only paid £68 x 66 months = £4488? That is around what they paid you in Sept.

Now that they're offering you £7700 again, should you really accept it (I know you're tried to call them).

At the end of the day, the taxpayer picks up some of the bill for mistakes like this.

    Hi All

Good news, finally got an offer today for ppi on my CC for 3.5k from Halifax. Not seen the breakdown of the calcs, but I believe that they may be wrong. My rough calculations show that I should expect 3k to 3.5k just from the straight refund of the PPI i paid over the 10 years or so. However, am I right in thinking that I should also get back the interest that was charged on this PPI (at the credit card rate). Either they haven't gone right back to the date I was charged the PPI from or they haven't charged the correct interest?

I don't want to sound greedy, but just want to know what to expect when I do receive the PPI calcs.

If anybody can help, that would great!!

    Thanks

    K

    Hi I/m new here.

I've made the complaint over the phone to lloyds tsb for a loan 10 years ago.Do u think is enough or I should fill the form. They said wiil come to me in 5 working days. ALSO i HAD A 2ND LOAN WITH LLOYDS unprotected . Can I claim anything on that? What about charges on my accounT 7.50 EVERY MONTH .

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hi I can answer the first bit of your question - I only did my claims over the phone to LTSB and didnt fill in paperwork.

Sorry am not experienced enough in this stuff to answer your second bit.
  • Update on my husband's claim on his MBNA Credit Card. Did not write a letter. Did not fill in any forms or complete any templates. Just sent an email to the CEO on 27th Oct. Reply received 11th Nov offering £5,600 within 28 days. Cheque received today 25th Nov for full amount. Three cheers for MBNA staff.

Now if only RBS were as diligent with my PPI claim which I accepted on 27th August and am still waiting for payment.

Hi there, technically you are correct, but they have given you the ppi back (the redress) so the rebate applied when you settled (this should apply to both loans) will have to be given back to them,as they have given you this previous.
Do you know the loan ppi and monthly payment that you paid?if you do and post up the figures (as these are settled loans i can roughly calculate these !!) i will see if they have given the total redress you should have.

What debts are they using to repay with your redress?.

Thanks Amersall I will dig out what paperwork I have tomorrow and post it here.
