    Hi everybody

Have just posted the following story in the Lloyds TSB PPI thread. I guess it counts as a success (of sorts) but I'll let you all know how it pans out.

9th August: Contacted FOS to enquire about PPI claims, etc. They filed the initial complaint to Lloyds TSB.

11th August: Letter from Lloyds acknowledging complaint and requesting that questionnaire be filled out and returned.

18th August: Questionnaires sent via Recorded Delivery

22nd August: Delivery signed for by Lloyds TSB

1st November: Call to enquire about status of complaint (16-week deadline approaching). Parents told that the complaint is still under investigation.

15th November: Call to enquire about status of complaint. Again told that complaint is still under investigation. Parents are asked for more information. Becomes clear that Lloyds do not have the questionnaires that were returned and signed for in August. Parents were not told this 2 weeks earlier. Agree to email them to Lloyds and are told that there will be an answer by 1st December. Email the questionnaires (and receipt for Recorded Delivery) to Lloyds, copying in Andrea Barry, Ian Hallett and the individual at the FOS who originally spoke to my parents. Ask for a response to acknowledge the email.

18th November: Call to enquire about the email. Had expected a response but received nothing. Told that the forms were received. No apology for not even replying with a quick thanks. Again guaranteed that an answer will be provided by 1st December.

24th November (Today): Call to enquire about status of complaint (the deadline is a week today). Told that a letter was scanned into the system yesterday (23rd November). Individual has a look through the system and confirms that PPI on all three loans are being repaid. Total amount to be repaid is over £15000.

So my parents now await a) the letter confirming the settlement; b) the calculations letter; and c) the money transferred to their account. I'll keep you all posted on this (relative) success and let you know when letters and payments are received. Given some of the stories on here, it could be a while!

Well done, Co-Op lost my questionaire after it had been sent by recorded delivery and signed for by them so they sent me £150 as compensation and they are still looking at my complaint.
    Well done on your win
  • I wonder if you could perhaps help me please. I have had 9 loans with Halifax from the mid 90s onwards. Unfortunately, I do not have copies of loan agreements but I have all the loan account numbers. I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has had any success with similar loans from Halifax around this time. Also, is there a seperate page just for Halifax PPI claims successes/failures.

I'm new to all of this so would be grateful for any help. Thanks in advance. Shirley

I wonder if anyone can help. Have found an old bank statement showing a payment monthly of £20.48 to a company called: NW Mortgage MRP. Can anyone tell me who this company is?

Well... just phoned PPI 'Concerns' as my 28 working days plus 4 additional weeks are but a distant memory. It won't be long before this line is shipped off to a foreign call centre I tell you.

The guy couldn't give me any sort of timescale for when my payment will be made. He couldn't put me through to my case handler or his manager and he couldn't confirm where my payment was in the queue. Utterly useless and appauling treatment of a customer of 20+ years.

I will be making a complaint about the handing of my complaint(!) and forward a copy to Stephen Hester, I'll continue to ring them whenever I can. I'm also going to log it with Watchdog...

Keep smiling people... tis almost the season to be jolly! :snow_laug

Well, it just shows you it pays to kick off!

Mr Teerlink's office have forwarded my complaint to the PPI Executive Complaints Office (didn't know there was such a thing) who say they'll come back to me by the beginning of next week with an update on my payment...... Meanwhile..... a payment of £1,080 has been applied to my loan account:jnot anything like the total amount owed but it's a move in the right direction at least!!

  • can anyone tell me if they have had a payout from barclays loan,we have been waiting for 56 working days.
  • Hi guys, I have successfully claimed back over £4000 on 2 claims and also claimed for my family and had further success there. I have a question though.....

I have recently received word from Santander saying they are going to uphold yet another of my claims, this time a credit card which has been in action for many years but they have said it may take 8 weeks.

My cunning plan is this.... since they have notified me they are upholding it and therefore admitted to misselling and admitting to OWING me funds I see no reason why I should not charge them interest for the next 8 weeks or however long it takes.

Furthermore, companies like Wonga who "legally" charge circa 1500% apr on short term loans can get away with it then why can't I?

I plan to write to Santander informing them of "my current" interest rate of circa 1500% (yet to be decided) and that they will be subject to this rate from the moment they receive my notice until they settle the debt.

In theory I see no lawful reason not to as it is perfectly reasonable for them to assume they will owe interest on ANY debt and it is up to me to set my rates... surely.

    ANY THOUGHTS?????
  • Over the last 8 years we have had 7 products with LTSB, from Credit cards to loans all with PPI. We read how to claim from your site and wrote direct to LTSB. In Oct 2011 we received the offers and today we have received the settlement cheques.
All together the amount repaid is just short of £15,000.
    success!:j

To anyone having problems with long delays waiting for payouts, contact your local MP's.

Remember they should want to help, they will want your vote one day, or you may have already voted for that actual MP.

    Good luck.
