So sorry for posting this on here - I'm new and I can't find anywhere to post it. Moderators please feel free to move it.
Does anyone know anything about how BACS work? Can payments go in anytime during the day or just first thing?0 -

Loan PPI reclaim, LLoyds Tsb - Received offer letter today after one simple phone call 2 months ago - offer £796 (i paid out £262 in premiums on short loans) IF YOU LOAN FINISHED OVER 6 YEARS AGO STILL HAVE A GO AT CLAIMING - IT HAS WORKED FOR ME - - - - -
Ok so i havent got the money in my bank yet but im just so surprised how little i have done (just one phone call) to get this offer letter.
The loans both FINISHED IN 2003!!!! over 6 years ago.
I didnt know the Reference number or the amount of the loan or how long it was over, not exactly
I just rang the lender who i still bank with and said
"i took out a loan with you over 6 years ago and was not told that they added PPI, i did question the paperwork after the loan had started, because i noticed that they had split the loan into 2 amounts and i was confused why, i was then told i had insurance but it was too late to change it has it was already signed for, i was angry cos i couldnt remember agreeing to any insurance but i just though oh well, my fault and left it, i have now been told that i can claim back the monies i paid, please can you give me details of the loan so i can take this further. I know i would not have signed up to any insurance as i am quite uninsurable due to previous hospitalisationfor illness"
They then gave me details of the 2 loans (i had forgotten about the 1st one completely !!!) so i wrote down the reference numbers, dates of starting, finsihing etc, they also told me how much of that had been PPI and i noted this. they then accepted this call as the "offical complaint" and told me i would hear with in 12 weeks (1st December) (i then received a letter to confirm my complaint)
I was skeptical but today received an offer letter!!, which i am more than happy with. I know i might have to wait for the money as several on the forums are saying, but at least i have a letter from lloyds now to confirm they will pay up.
My post is mainly to encourage people to ring up and complain about loans MORE THAN 6 YEARS OLD. cos it has worked for me to the offer letter stage.
I also want to say that my friend gave 25% to a company to do this for her, but i although scared and inexperienced, did this myself and it was so worth it!!
I followed what has been reccommended by some of the sooooo helpful people on this forum so thank you to all who have posted detailed advice.
I will post back when i receive the money. I dont need it for my day to day spending but have absolutely no savings so when i do get it it will be soooo good to be able to have some savings in the bank for a rainy day!!

So basically if it's not in first thing in the morning it's unlikely to go in until the next day or thereafter?
Just to save me checking my bank every 10 minutesI know, desperate or what .....
I think that's the case hiedi, from previous posts that's how I understand it, hope it's paid in soonSuccesses

As far as I understood BACS (my wages are paid this way) its 2-3 working days from when it is sent to when it is received and yes mine goes in at midnight, so if I was expecting a payment tomorrow I would be able to check account at midnight tonight and it would be showing, whether anybody elses is different I do not know,

Hi
Sent a letter to halifax re my wifes credit card PPI in September. Had an offer of £8120.33 which I am chuffed about,
Premiums 4498.25
Interest 3542.99
8% Interest 79.09
They have only paid 8% interest for when the card was in credit. Is this correct. Dont wish to sound ungrateful as 8 grand is a huge success but just wondered.????
Cheers everyone0 -
