Today is the day LloydsTSB say the will pay me!

Today is the day that LloydsTSB did NOT pay me!

Well one day late is a result!!

£5509.39 this morning. Once I've settle a current loan, I'll still have near £2000 left for me and my wife-to-be to use to make our wedding that little bit extra special.

Thank you so much to Martin Lewis and team! You've made it possible.Without seeing Martin on BBC Watchdog talking about how the banks have 6billion aside to pay back, I doubt I'd have tried!

    Thank you again!
  • two cheques received from First Plus

My acceptance letter was received by FP on the 18th October. So by my maths thats 5 weeks today.

The acceptance letter stated cheques for £3831.14 and £555.24.

The letter that arrived today is a bit odd...

It states ' we have applied the refund of your PPI premium plus interest to the account balance.
Enclosed a cheque for £290.71 payable just to me for payments made to PPI policy.
Enclosed a cheque for £576.05 for the 8% payable to my hubby'

Behind the letter was two cheques £3973.34 and £576.05 both payable to my hubby.

Well done to all other winners

    Well done Helen :j

Fantastic result getting it at five weeks! Mine was received by them on the 21st, so maybe, just maybe, I could receive my cheques this week too!!! I shall not hold my breath :rotfl:

Confusing though with the four cheques???? Is this loan still active? That could be why the two cheques to your husband are slightly different to the offer valuation. But confused why there were four cheques when you were only expecting two?!

But who cares hey, YOU GOT YOUR MONEY!!!!!!
One wicked Christmas you're gonna have :D

    Well done
    Love Lily xx

  • Claim One - MINT credit card 16k - Used template letter posted three months ago by recorded delivery. Offer accepted and sent by return post this Monday. They say payment in 28 working days...watch this space!
Claim Two - RBS credit card 13k - Used template letter posted three months ago by recorded delivery. Offer accepted and sent by return post this Monday. They say payment in 28 working days...watch this space!
Just hope I get a result against M&S Money and Yorkshire Bank ;-)

My sucess is due to this site which gave me the confidence to reclaim without using an agent. Debt free Christmas and a holiday ( not with Tommy Cook ) on the horizon.

    Thank you :D

Yes hopefully yours will arrive very soon.

Sorry if what I wrote was confusing! We only got 2 cheques! £3000+ and £500+ for the premiums and interest, both slightly more than what was in the offer letter.

The letter that came with the cheques said they have applied the refund to the loan and enclosed 2 cheques for £200 and £500 approx for the interest. Very odd. Almost like they sent us somebody else's letter but with our cheques!

Oh and the monthly premiums are two pounds lower per month than what they first calculated.

Good luck and let us all know when you receive yours

:jMinisterman - great news on your payout. I am waiting on mint coming back to me. Can I ask when you took out the account? - mine was taken out in 1998 and just wondering if they will pay out that far back if I am succesful.

Sent off forms printed off from this site to Santander at beginning of November re PPI I had on a (Cahoot) loan. Received a call the day after sending recorded post from lady who said my claim was being upheld, received an offer letter the week after for £1272 returned the next day and a week later (today) I found it had been put into bank account. If only rest of banks were like this!!

I just have a question if someone would be so kind to answer. have sent away for t & C's from a couple of credit cards that I could have sworn I had PPI on but when they arrived the box hadn't been ticked. I'm not sure if I should try to reclaim PPI as I honestly think I had it but due to shredding i don't have any proof. Is there any other way I can find out. Would a SAR tell me this info?
I would do a SAR,you could have had ppi applied when you phoned to activate the card.
  • I had 1500 back from aqua. they will send you a cheque for the amount so when you cash it out its up to you what you do with money. I am on a dmp too. enjoy!!!
  • After around £1300 from Aqua two weeks ago, refunded within a week, I heard from Lloyds today re two loans from 2002-2004, and they're refunding £6400. Long wait ahead to be paid out, no doubt, but delighted! :T

Several more in the pipeline, so hoping they come in postively too!
