PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi all
Barclaycard have rejected my CC complaint based on the fact that I ticked the application form.
The basis of the complaint was that the policy wasn't explained correctly, and that it was sold without my best interests being considered.
Are they trying the old 'fob off' tactic to delay?
What course of action can you recommend??
Thanks all

I accepted and received the money but having read that there should have been 3 amounts of calculation shown, have i been duped??
After reading the information regarding paying to the tax man it states there should be 3 lots of calculation, is there anything i can do???0 -

Just an update for those who are waiting for barclaycard
I first complained in August,
received offer end of September,
They recieved my aceptance on November 9th
letter recieved today dated 18th November that payment has been made. Not appeared in my account yet but believe it takes 3-5 days.
i made one Phonecall on the 17th explaining i was currently in financial hardship, they called back the day after saying it had been paid, and then today i had the letter confirming this. Over the moon as it is just short of 6K, very handy for Xmas with 4 kids and one on the way, i will now be able to take maternity leave a little sooner than i planned!!:santa2:
thanks for everyone's help, and good luck to those waiting.:j:beer:0 -

I sent two claims off, one to HFC Bank (part of HSBC) and one to Lloyds TSB, they were both sent in May.
So far I have received a full refund of £5500 from HFC but nothing from Lloyds.
I had a letter from them in August saying they were making me an offer but no figures have been mentioned. I was to sign the acceptance form and send it back they would then work it all out and get back to me. As of today still nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas what they are playing at and how long this may take.ThunderCat wrote: »Hi Vicki. I got my Lloyds offer letter at the end of August. This was then followed up by a letter with figure break-down about 20 days later. I'd give them a ring if I was you.
Just an update to say I have had three letters from Lloyds in a week with figures on. They are offering me a total of £16,180.00 back, can't quite believe what i'm reading.:):)0 -

wow!! great news!!:beer:0 -
Have just phoned Lloyds and asked for an update on my credit card PPI claim that I put in, the 12 weeks was due to be up this Saturday. The man in the call centre took great delight in reading the letter that was loaded on the account today out to me after asking if I was sat down first.
They are paying me out £13,406.46 !!!!!!!!!!!
I had to ask him to repeat it to make sure I'd got it right, he RECKONS that the credit card side are making payments faster than the loans side and although the letter I will receive will say it's being paid in a cheque, they will pay it directly into my Lloyds account and it will definately be there before Christmas. That I will definately be taking with a pinch of salt, and fully expect to have to chase and chase again for the payment....... but WOW !!! Thank you Martin Lewis forumite's for letting me lurk and read all your success stories and pitfalls, which gave me the courage to put the claim in to start with.... lets wait till January now and see if they pay hubbies loan PPI out !0 -
