  • Hi

I made a claim against my Natwest loan PPI payments back in July.

I got the acceptance letters from RBS 10 days ago and sent then back. I didn't hold out much hope for payment before Xmas but £14k appears in my bank account today. Just waiting for the interest to be paid now!!

    Thanks Dilus - much appreciated.

Other half only had a copy of the loan agreement for the first loan and a loan statement relating to the second loan which reads:

    Amount of new loan £10,0000
less settlement of loan account no. 1 £7429.96
    Balance paid to you £2570.04

makes no reference to any refund ??
    Thanks.

    Hello everyone,

I have been a regular reader of these threads and thanks to all you lovely people, I have just received my PPI back on 2 halifax accounts :) I do have a few queries tho, my apologies if this has been answered before.
I actually had 3 claims against the Halifax, the first was for a loan that I only had for 12 months, I paid it straight off when I remortgaged, my 2nd and 3rd claim was for a visa card and an unsecured loan, both of which are currently in arrears.
When I rang the halifax the other week, they said they would be sending me out a cheque for £336 for the first claim, and that they still had a few weeks to sort out the other 2, yet saturday I received the above cheque plus a cheque for £2200 which has my account numbers on for the second 2 claims, the letter that came with it said 'as per our recent telephone conversation, please find a settlement cheque enclosed'......yet I hadn't discussed any settlement figure with them?
I'm massively tempted to put this cheque in the bank, but because I don't have any of my old credit card statements, I have no way of knowing how they came up with this figure?
Any suggestions on what I should do? And is there any way I can ask for paperwork on how they came up with this figure or get my old visa card statements without paying an arm and a leg for them, I'm just worried incase it's wrong.

massive congrats to everyone who has been successfull

I would suggest you contact them and ask for a breakdown of the figures, you may find that you were actually awarded more but they have used a large part of it to settle the arrears, which they are entitled to do.
Copies of statements can cost you £5 each I believe and you probably won't be able to work much out from them. Try the breakdown route ;)

Quote from RBS "We are dealing with these claims strictly in date order". What a crock of ****. My claim was made in August LAST year. New account already open. The day it goes in - it goes out to the new account.

Here, here... I've still not received my payment because "It's over £5k, so it'll take longer"... yet others who have sent acceptances back after mine for larger values have already been paid theirs

I've waited the 28 working days and then 4 extra weeks they gave themselves on top of this... it's just ridiculous.
