Please please could someone give me help or guidence.
I have written about this a couple of times this week and admersall has been very helpful.
Tesco have upheld our credit card claim, and sent letter of acceptance for us to sign with the following figures.
Nov 2003 to approx 2006 (which was when we cancelled PPI)
PPI premiums paid £2024.54
Int at c/card int rate £709.98
Interest at 8% £765.67
The letter was worded "Your refund will be the monthly PPI premiums you have paid from Nov 2003, up to the cancellation of the policy, along with interst on those payments.
Interest is paid at the card purchse interest rate. Or where you have had a negative balance (this means your account is in credit), to compensate you for not having this money you will receive interest at 8% on that amount.
We would have had approx 5k on the card for all of this period, as we had held the card from 2001 and would have been at full credit limit unfortunately within the year. (Which im sure they were happy about at the time)
I have been querying the fact that the wording is indicating that they have only paid us 8% interest from Nov 2003 to 2006, when I was lead to believe that this should have been paid to date, up to 2011. admersall was a bit unsure. I tel Ombudsman for general advise and they said yes you would be pd 8% to date.
Sent email to CEO yesterday and today requested full refund of full 8%. A lady from Tesco telephoned today while my husband was at work and stated that on recalculations they owe us another £20somthing pound. HOW CAN THIS BE THE CASE. Am i getting this totally wrong. thought it would be interest on the £2024.54 for a further 4-5 years.
And where have they found this £20something from. As my husband at work and she was about to go home!, she is meant to be phoning back tomorrow. (Saturday!). Wondered if anyone could give me any advise as to what sort of payout they have had from credit cards on the 8% interest.
Any advise would be much appreciated.0 -
Interest should be paid to date, that why figures have to be recalculated when there is a delay issuing payments.0

Have been waiting patiently for decision by Financial Ombudsman regarding mis-selling of PPI on credit card from RBS for over 3 years.
In this time my case was reviewed by an Adjudicator who found against my claim.
I appealed against this decision- in my opinion the Adjudicator has been VERY subjective in reaching his decision!
After being reviewed by an Ombudsman- I received a letter at the end of August informing me that RBS had agreed to offer me a 'no admission of guilt' repayment of monies in line with guidelines.
I have received a repayment of just under £9000!
I would urge everyone to keep going on your complaint-its so simple.
I wrote my letter in line with template off this site and have received ALL the money into my account without having to pay a hefty % to any other company.
Am very pleased.0 -

Nothing has arrived.
Emailed Bob Diamond.
Today we got a letter saying "thank you for your letter of complaint to Bob Diamond, we are looking into it...... and the time frame for PPI is 8 weeks......."
Sheesh.
After posting this the miracle actually happened.
£2300 (approx we aren't sure of the exact total till we get a bank statement) has appeared in my OH bank.
So the email to Bob paid off.
My OH is still in shock!

Just had an e-mail from Bob Diamond's office they have got my cheques infront of them and are putting them in the post today.
Yippee, Yippee
I can buy my son a car now, get rid of that wretched Marks and Spencer credit card and decorate my bedroom and maybe treat myself to a bottle of perfume.
Let you know how long they are in the post for. xxxxxxxxxx0 -

Congratulations. That makes it about 10 weeks then instead of the expected 8 weeks? I've got another week to go until the 8 weeks is up so I'll not hold my breath. I don't bank with them anymore though so a cheque could take longer.0 -
letter in saying my claim was upheld, £4800 from MBNA and used the simple claim form.
