Congratulations!:T I'm still waiting for my cheque from Bank of Scotland can you remember how long they took to issue yous?
We're still waiting on the TMPP cheque to come through, but the CC redress came to us in less than a week, in fact three days from when we received the letter, we got that on the Friday and the cheque on the doorstep on Monday.
Hopefully the new one will come in just as quickly.:D

Ladies and Gents and my good friend Cappo

    I need your help

I have 4 loans that I complained about with halifax they were for 2.5k, 3.5k, 9k and 12 k I dont have all the figures however the crucial loan of 12k which I took out in 2004 ( When Halifax front loaded the PPI)I paid 12 months @£293 = £3516 then refianced. I TODAY 2 cheques in the post for £629 and £329 total £968with no calculations/ No reference number and the cheek of it my letter inside was addressed

    Dear Sir/Madam

What I need help with I think there well out with figures of that £ 3516 I must have apid half at least of the PPI.

I know I have the ombudsman but im so angry im a civil servant and I get 6 months full pay then 6 months half pay as well as a pension payment of at the time £45,000 as of 2004 so defo didnt need the ppi. Can I excalate past the Ombudsman and take it higher maybe court if so what do I need to do

    Please experts do me proud
    Hi Villan,

As a fellow civil servant I know what you've gone through.
As I think Amersall said in an earlier post, you are only due to get back the ppi payments that you made, so assuming you paid 12 x £296 and the £96 was for ppi and £200 for the loan, then you'd be due a rebate of the 12 x £96, plus 8% interest from when each of the payments have been made. If your loan is complete now then thats as far as it goes, if it's still live then it has to be restructured which should be as simple as the bank removing the ppi from the loan and your monthly payment reducing by the amount of the ppi premium.

If you're other loans had ppi on them, these should be looked at too, however, ideally you'd need to know about the ppi and the payments on each to know how short they are.

    Hope this helps:D
Thanks to all the competition posters.
  • I applied for PPI refunds back in May from Halifax loans and cc's and from Northern Rock loans. In August I got £6900 from NR, which I was happy about. On 21 August I got a letter from Halifax which I sent back the acceptance offer, I havn't heard anything since. Tomorrow will be 84 days and I keep ringing them but they don't want to know. I'm ringing them again on FRiday if I don't get any joy then I will be contacting FOS. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD TO WAIT THIS LONG.
  • Brilliant thanks, will go put my brain into gear and write them a nice letter(with of course the obligatory choice words such as incompetent, unprofessional fraudulent, possibly include toe rags) and see what their response is, will let you know if I get anything back good luck x

let us know how you get on:T

Santander rejected by them 11/11/11, counter rejected by me 17/11/11. x2 letters advising they need another 4 weeks and then another rejection:rotfl:

Yep loads of us are waiting on halifax payouts with similar dates. Take a look at the halifax redress thread. Makes for grim reading.
