I know someone who got a £3200 pay from B/card on a 665 premuim total with almost exactly the same dates as yours ... 100% stay with it & if needs be go via the fos
Many thanks for this - good to know. They rejected my claim because their "procedures at the time required their representative to discuss the key features ...... " Load of nonsense - no representative contacted me - they simply switched from purchase protection one month (which I was ok with) to payment protection the next. I have now written back pointing this out and sending copies of the two statements when the switchover took place. It was all very low key and understated the way it was done and consequently went un-noticed.

They say I cannot refer it to the FOS because it was before they signed up to the Code of Practice.

I have asked them for the name of their insurers and will go down that route if they reject my claim again. Interesting thing is - at one time a lot of Barclays Insurance was undertaken by an associated company in Dublin. It could all get quite interesting.

Wow! I sent my Aqua letter off at start of September too, but other than a letter of confirmation of receiving it, I have had nothing from them at all! Fingers crossed I might get some good news soon then. Can I ask what you had as grounds for a miss-sell?

I got that letter too, a few days after I sent off the claim. The offer letter was the only other one I received, so was so straightforward. Credit to HBOS for making it easy, all done in just over 8 weeks.

I claimed mis-sell on the basis I was a public employee with sickness benefit and had no need for the product, and they should have investigated my need before lumping it on the card.

Grastaff the CEO of Lloyds is off on sick leave, but the interim CEO is Tim Tookey. I will email him later, but I expect if he is like the other people I have emailed at Lloyds he won't reply either.
