  • Hi All

Thanks for all the posts on the site. After reading through them I compained to RBS about a £5000 personal loan with a mis-sold PPI policy. I renag them to get the account details and he told me I could do the complaint over the phone. A few weeks later I have an offer of £1690!

I recieved a text from RBS saying that it could take 28 working days plus an dditional 4 weeks to process my payment. Does anyone knif it takes this long in reality?

spoc5 Well done on your win :j:j:j:j
It could take this long or longer!,just hang on in there,it could come sooner,if you think it will take the time they say or longer and you get it before, this is a bonus :D
  • Hi everyone. You probably won't believe this but OPUS have paid me twice for PPI misselling on a Citicard they took over!!! They've sent me a letter asking me to send the second payment back to them, and apparently I legally have to do this. I get their money for a few days but Citicards had mine for years.

    Anyone experience anything similar?

What were you reclaiming: credit card ppi
Who was the provider: Aqua card services (aka HBOS)
How much did you get back: £1300 (£500 ppi, £770 interest, £30 8%)
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale: Letter sent to several banks in early September, this is the first to reply. Monies already paid into my credit card account yesterday, leaving a tiny balance I will now wipe out.

Delighted and optimistic for the other claims.

Wow! I sent my Aqua letter off at start of September too, but other than a letter of confirmation of receiving it, I have had nothing from them at all! Fingers crossed I might get some good news soon then. Can I ask what you had as grounds for a miss-sell?
Wage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you

I am so very sick of trying to get straight answer from tsb,I rang them up on wednesday which is when my interest was paid up to and when my 10 days were up on the priority spreadsheet,so was told by a lovely manager that it will all be rectified and my cheque will be on its way by today rang today and they said cannot guarantee when payment will be paid as the bacs system is down ( even though I m supposed to be paid by cheque) anyone else having problems with lloyds paying out? thanks Sam

I too am having problems with LTSB I received a settlement letter on 6th September and still have not received any payment. I keep ringing and keep being told the same stories that you are 1st a backlog then systems down, would be paid in 2-4 weeks, in September just clearing August, rang yesterday and told backlog means that they are behind. Said that I would refer back to ombudsman and was told ombudsman aware of their delay and that this was because they have more customers than any other bank. Asked for CEO office contact details and was refused - very unhelpful people there I must say and I am now getting very angry but don't know what else to do about it!:mad::mad::mad:

Well done on getting your offer but sorry to say it may take even longer unless they get their act together soon. Have waited the 28 working days and the extra 4 weeks and still have not been paid. Have made so many plans in my mind about what to do with it when it arrives but the first thing I will do is transfer it OUT of RBS.

    :rotfl:Send them a cheque,but dont post it for a few days :D
You do owe it them, but make them wait.
  • Just reporting a win/refund from LTSB - amazingly received well within the recommended time-frame. Complaint put in during July this year. Offer letter received 25th October. Cheque arrived today!!!

Admittedly this was for a very old loan that was paid off early many years back and neither we nor LTSB had any paperwork other than the account number and the dates the loan started/ended. As a result of this DH was offered a standard £1200 refund which he was happy to accept - we never expected the cheque would arrive so quickly though.......:j
